Does Doc know if he'll coach next year? “No, I don’t. Every year is the same for me. You need to detox, and that’s what I’m going to do."

So I guess he goes through the motions after every season..I can understand.

Yeah. I heard this on WEEI in his interview before tha game. I was gonna post this but I wasn't gonna give tha Doc haters a reason to come out tha bushes tonight.

I understand tho. When you have seasons like tha one this squad has had, i'm sure it drains these coaches out. Everyone within tha Celtics organization should detox. But coaching period has to be a drainer. I personally want to see Doc back. I love Doc as tha coach of this team. I'm a Doc supporter.

Tha Doc haters/bashers will love this thread tho.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
There is a 94% chance we will all be terribly disappointed with the new coach if Doc leaves.

I wouldn't be shocked if him staying is contingent on what happens with Pierce and KG.

I wouldn't mind giving Lawrence Frank a chance -- I think he got a raw deal in Detroit.

Stan Van Gundy is another name I'd look at, though I dunno if he'd want to coach a team that will be rebuilding.

Where or when did Doc talk about this? I can not find any mention of it.

Zelko Obradovic if Doc will leave. But i like Doc and I do not think he is leaving. I do not see a reason to get rid of Doc

I could get behind Stan Van Gundy. He's really the only coach available that's got similar ability and standing to Doc--he coached the heck out of that 08-09 magic team.

Relax guys.  He says this every year, gets my hopes up and then comes back.  Nothing to see here.

I'd love SVG to coach for the Celtics. His angry tone and strictness will inspire Celtics to play and work hard. That guy is hilarious too on some occasions.

I don't know whats funnier his voice or his expressions on the sideline when opposing teams make buckets. He coaches with a lot of passion though would love him. lol
