Before game 4, Melo kept talking about how much it would mean to sweep Boston after being swept a few years ago.

JR Smith intentionally elbowed Jason Terry in the mouth. Since then, he's talked smack, along with Kenyon Martin. They aren't just convinced - they EXPECT to put us away.

I respect Carmelo a lot more than I ever have, but man do I hate the Knicks. If that is how I feel, I can only imagine how Pierce and the rest of the team feels.

Hopefully these guys can use it as motivation and stick it to NYK at MSG tomorrow for a BIG win. Even if (when) we lose the rest of the series. Show them they are not entitled, please.

For me, it's not only a game 7. It's personal. I hope it is for the Celtics too.

It'd be nice to win this for sure. Knicks fans would be scared to death  ;D

However, they have Smith back this game. I'd be definitely surprised if we beat them.

I'm hoping the Knicks psych themselves out a little.

This dressing like a funeral, not saying someone's name (even tho you are the bonehead) etc is a little overblown for a 2nd seed up 3-1 going back home for game 5.

It feels like the knicks are ready to fight and hoepfully the celts are just preparing to play some ball

I've changed my mind on game 5.

We're not going to go down quietly.

We're going to rise up and pummel the Knicks. Hardly any Celts have played well thus far, aside from a couple stretches here and there.

Many of our guys are due, while the Knicks are due to miss some shots. C'mon boys .. . jump on Cornbread's back and get it done!

BTW.
What's happened with Courtney Lee? The guy played half season as a starter and now does not even appear on the floor replaced with third line players.

If the Knicks are going to a funeral, I hope they are prepared to shed many tears.  I am donating a box of tissues...they will need them.

If he elbowed intenionally, deserves more than one gmae suspension. Liverpool striker Suarez got 10 games supension biting intenionally

I think the Celtics will play hard this game , and let off some frustration on the Knicks...

The Celtics may not go down so easily ......

too much pride on this team.....

Knicks would be wise to remember this.

It's the NBA, where fines and suspensions aren't consistent...but I didn't expect more than 1 game anyways.

Championship or bust.

Game 5 is just the second of our sixteen-win journey.

I was surprised he even got one game. I thought a flagrant 2 was suitable.

You can see it in one of the replays though. Smith grits his teeth before he swings his elbow through, totally intentional

Agree. I wasn't expecting one game. NBA wants revenues from another game though.
