Get a big that will fix our rebounding and size problems. PER of 18.6. We could either move KG back to PF (although I think he's a better center at this stage) or have him back up KG as a sixth man, preserving his body and minutes (assuming KG doesn't retire). Try to get him for around 5-6 million with a S&T deal from Milwaukee by waiving DJ White + Randolph's contract.

It at least gives us a legitimate big man we can play for around 20 minutes a night while resting KG, and gives us some length in taller matchups.

Would be a good pickup. I read somewhere recently where he wanted to play for Miami next year (shocker.)

Hopefully we can swoop in and steal him.

I would despise that

Despise the trade? or Miami getting him?

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I guess I wonder how much longer Dalembert will be a viable starting caliber center in this league. People at cb have been calling for this guy for years, but is he really going to make a huge impact next year [or years to come].

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I have suggested a LOT of names, either via draft of signed thru FA or acquired by trade to get a big.

With that said, I like Sammy D, he can provide some help.

Then again, for me the problem is Doc playing them. We can have a stockpile of bigs, but Doc isn't playing them, it's useless.

I think we need to fix this first before thinking of getting a big.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

Dalembert is a vet, I think Doc would play him for sure. He played Jason Collins, remember?

Another name we could get is JJ Hickson

I don't think he is a quality starter anymore. Still a very good backup center though.

Blatche showed tonight why we should have jumped at the chance to get him for nothing last summer. He's due a bit more moolah for sure next year, but potentially still attainable.

Danny missed a lot of people last summer :/
Imagine a big rotation of KMart, Birdman, and Blatche. KG would have gotten a LOT of rest.

He'd be a solid addition if we're trying to be competitive again next year.

Or, if KG and Pierce both leave, I suppose we could add Dalembert on a 1 or 2 year deal and then trade him at the deadline for something minor if he has a good first half.

Did Dalembert see any minutes during the series vs. the Heat? I completely forgot about him.

Just amused.  People don't seem to have learned anything from having guys like Nate Robinson, Delonte West, Tony Allen, Stephon Marbury, Glen Davis, Jermaine O'Neal etc. on the bench.

Talented and crazy is still crazy.  You can only have so much of that and still expect to have a cohesive team.

As Robinson goes off, has a great season and playoffs . .. and we sit around with no PG, terrible ball handling and struggle with scoring .. . yes, I'd take on some crazy provided that Doc has the stomach to use it and not subdue it.

When you can only add vet min guys, you often either get good natured, limited or over the hill character guys or you get crazier guys with upside. Clearly, we needed to add more upside, and will likely have to moving ahead.

One or two of Blatche, Birdman, Martin, Nate Rob or Baby won't kill a team's chemistry and their skills could have really helped on the floor.

Jermaine O'Neal is far from crazy ... just washed up (or was on the Celts - - same w/ Marbury). Tony Allen has proved to be a money player since he left. I think Celts management has big regrets over that one.

Anyways, yes, we need realistic bigs next year.
