KG hurt has a 21.75 Efficiency Rating in this year's playoffs.

Josh has a 19.25 healthy.

I would have loved to have seen what a top notch coach could have done with Josh Smith earlier in his career. I think they really could have helped him reach another level in his career. Might be too late now.

I dont think its too late at all. Zach Randolph was a loose cannon player up until 29 when he got to the Grizzlies and figured it out.

Smith needs a change of scenery. If we could have somehow pried him away from the Hawks this season I think he would have really benefit from a year with KG and Pierce. And developed into a great tandem with Rondo after KG and Pierce are done.

I'm not so sure Mike Woodson isn't pretty close to a top notch coach.  He has certainly looked like one over the last year and a half.

I think Woodson is a middle of the pack coach.

I also think that any defensive minded coach replacing Mike D'Antoni would have improved the Knicks by leaps and bounds.

What kind of coach do you think Phil Jackson was? A coach who just rides on the talents of his players? Like he always have great players to work with

The whole "change from his ways" angle is so overblown.  The only real issues are shot selection and that sometimes he tries to do too much, but he's being asked to try to do a lot by his team.

Well, my concern, in addition to the pricetag, is the role.

Smith's problem is that he has always been asked to do too much offensively for his team to win.  And it would be the same thing on the C's, unless they can find a way to acquire a true #1 scoring option.

KG's PER for the playoff is only 16.4

Nobody on the Celtics is higher than 16.4 for the playoffs, actually.

Tells you a lot about how bad our team has been.

We already have a center. Sullinger.

Have you not seen what this kid brought this year? He is only going to get much better.  When you have a guy that can neutralize Tyson Chandler, than you have someone that can play center.

He is not a true center, but in today's nba , you don't really need one. Sullinger's biggest weakness is shot blocking, but Smith if we got him could do plenty of that

To me he looks 20-30 pounds overweight.  Usually that is a bad sign, most guys don't go down in weight as they reach their 30's, they go up.

I was at the Hawks-Pacers game last night.  Josh Smith almost misfired the Hawks out of the game in the second half.  Will give him credit for a clutch three in crunch time, but the entire crowd was nervous whenever he'd get the ball on offense.

Granted it was one game, but way too much hero ball from someone who sure didn't look like a savior.
