Just heard that quote on WEEI from yesterdays post game interview . Hope someone shows this to KG  ;)
Quote
Knicks power forward Kenyon Martin cranked up the trash talk following his team's 97-90 overtime loss to the Celtics Sunday afternoon. Martin took issue with some comments by Celtics guard Jason Terry before the game.

“The guy was mouthing off before the game,” Martin told the New York Daily News. “He told me, ‘You’re not dancing at my funeral today.’’’

Martin turned Terry's comments around after the game.

We’re ending it Wednesday,” Martin said, telling his teammates to, “Wear black. Funeral colors.’’

Love it! Adds more fuel to the fire.

Oh and who the F is kenyon martin to make that statement ? Did he play for the knicks his whole career to hate the Celtics this much or he Thanks hes more than just a role player at this point in his career ? (as long as it lasts).

Can't Tell you how much hate i have for the knicks, more hatred than towards the Lakers believe it or not ! They're fans are the biggest scums on earth!

He's mad for 2 reasons

1. The Celtics wanted to pick him up at first but ended up passing on him
2. Terry bad mouthed him during the game

I'm not 100% sure that Danny made any offer to K-Mart.

Quote
NO OFFER MADE: The Celtics could use a player like Martin but never made an legitimate offer.

“I didn't come close at all,” Martin said. “They didn't offer me anything, so it wasn't close. I didn't talk to them per se; my agent did. It didn't happen, so it doesn't matter at this point.”

I love it!
It is pretty mild trash-talking, but bring it on, KMART!

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I hope this adds the fuel to the fire we desperately need.

If we somehow win this, we'll break every record in playoff history. Eventually, I doubt we'll win. We'll probably win 1 more game, then lose the next one. But if we even win that'll not only be another accomplishment. People already said we would be swept, and that was it over after 2-0. Not yet.

BFD. What's he supposed to say? He's been playing pretty well and has every reason to believe they'll finish the job in NY on Wednesday.
Celts have to do a lot better than even yesterday's performance to win on Wednesday. Hopefully we see that extra gear and show up, but I don't mind the comment.

I love this kind of talking too...It's the playoffs, they just lost a game they thought they were going to sweep (Melo REALLY wanted to sweep them)so now they're amping themselves up.

Like Green said, it's their backs against the wall because they're expected to win, especially being up 3-1. Even if the C's force a Game 6, that would give them a scare.

Terry loves this type of stuff anyways, I remember in the 2011 Finals when the Heat were showboating in front of the Mavs bench, he had one of his best games after.

Meaningless comment. It's just Martin playing the part for his team. I wouldn't read much into it, except for the fact that if the C's lose, it will be the funeral on our 2012-13 season.

Zero points for originality. He stole that idea from the Giants.

Anybody have KG's email address?

I doubt kg needs any extra motivation to play better then a loss means the end of his season or possibly his career
