Doc means business in the playoffs

I know we have limited firepower, but I like Doc's resolve. Bradley had a mediocre game yesterday and had Bass not fouled out, Doc probably wouldn't had put him back in after initially benching him in the third.

Same with C-Lee. Just because our roster is thin, I like that Doc elects to cut his playing time because to be frank, he's been playing like garbage. I was overall rather glad that T-Will and Crawford both split up some of Lee's minutes.

Not to say that I wish these guys were playing poorly - hopefully getting bench will help each get back into shape respectively. I thought Courtney Lee was going to have a much bigger impact than he has

He is that type of coach.  If he's not, KG wouldn't have stayed this long or comeback for another run.  What people call stubborn, I call staying true to one self and beliefs.  Based on large sample size, his system has worked.  His system has worked for years for varieties of different players.  He's not and shouldn't overhaul the whole thing just to satifsy bunch of lakadaisical role players. 

He has done a remarkable job with what he was left with this season and believe it or not, he has given every player on the team a chance (with Darko being an exception in my opinion).  He's the type of coach that won't only judge you on how you play but also your attitude towards winning and loosing.  Pop is the best coach in the league and he wouldn't have done much better than what Doc has done.  I'm glad to have Doc on our side

Just not bringing enough to the table, I think. Crawford leaprfrogged him into the rotation, because he at least gives you a spark, and has shown enough effort on defense to make that side of the ball a wash. Lee is a workhorse, but he's not going to give you much in limited minutes.

The Lee of previous years, yes.  The way he's played this year though he is certainly nowhere near starting material.  He's not even anywhere near 6th man material.  Hell to be honest I wouldn't even have him in the rotation...

Lee would be behind both Crawford and Williams in the rotation if I were coaching, and if we could have Pietrus or Marquis on the team he'd be behind them too.

He has a painful combination of mediocre talent and lack of interest/passon that I cannot tolerate.   I'm happy to see him riding the bench where he belongs...total waste of cap space.

 I don't think that this was that unexpected. If Rondo was healthy we'd never have had pt in the tightened playoff rotations for all three of Bradley/Lee/Terry, so Doc would have eventually have taken one out of the rotation. The reason it's happening now is because Doc's playing PP/Green together at the 2-3 so much. It's possible that if Rondo were playing that Bradley or Terry would be joining Lee on the pine.

I know there have been other CLee threads where this belongs. But I really disagree with him getting so much hate. He has definitely been a disappointment this season, but he's a very good defender and can handle and create better than Bradley and shoot more consistently. Plus has good size.

I trust Doc has good reasons. But Bradley running point and guarding Felton=disaster.

Good point.  Rondo being out changes so much.

I was pretty interested in what I saw in Terrence Williams the other night enough to want to see him play in Game 5, Summer League, and possibly as Rondo's main backup next year (10-12 minutes).

Having a PG just made everything run better, especially that initial pass that starts the half-court offense...simple entry passes and angles-Bradley doesn't have it, and Terry's passing execution is shaky.

I just wish we hadn't gone down 0-3 before finding something that work a little.

I wish he'd let Shav have a go .  I think he can contribute , it a bit overwhelming to go from China nothing league to NBA playoffs .

Need tuffness INSIDE and around the rim.

Crawford is not being relied on for his defense, that's for sure. That said, he brings more to the table offensively than Lee currently, which is why his number is getting called over Lee's.

I would say overall, Bradley is a more balanced player than Lee. Lee's ball handling/passing is arguably just as good as Bradley's - if not a hair better. Bradley is a better defender. Both are struggling offensively right now. Given that Bradley's skillset slightly outweighs Lee's, Bradley is getting the nod to start. He's also been on the team longer and probably knows more about Doc's rotations/plays.

What's left for Lee to do? Score. Which he has been incapable of since the end of the regular season and all of the playoffs, unfortunately. I had higher hopes for him too. I think the pressure has gotten to him
