As I have mentioned before

Bass, Terry, Melo for Bargnani

add to that

Lee, Crawford #16 for Afflalo, O Quinn #51

I would then offer Dejuan Blair the mini mid level exception 3yr 3mil

sucks to lose the #16 pick but I think DA can find a player at #51 based on mocks possible guys include Reggie Bullock, Seth Curry, Ryan Kelly, Pierre Jackson.

Ill say they make out great and get Jackson or Curry

2013-2014 Celtics Rotation

PG  Rondo 35min,  AB 8min, Jackson/Curry 5min
SG Afflalo 30min, AB 18min, T Williams 0min
SF Pierce 25min, Green 23min
PF Sully 25min, Green 10min, Blair 13min, Shav 0min
C  KG 25min, Bargs 23min, O' Quinn 0min

If Sully and Rondo both come back healthy this gives us a roster that can hopefully win games with PP and KG stepping back in their roles.

I would expect Afflalo and Green to both average around 15pts per game, Bargs around 12pts lifting some scoring burden off of Pierce.

The return of Sully and the addition of Blair will greatly help this teams rebounding and interior toughness. With the exception of the 10min per game that Green goes to PF and the Cs go small there should always be a jump shooting big (KG,Barg) on the court with a banger (sully, blair).

Something I could live with I guess. But we still lack a true center/big man if these deals went down. We wont be serious contenders until we fill that hole.

Also, I dont think Toronto or Orlando would have any interest in either of these trades.

I just cant see a scenario where DA adds a legit big to this roster with out trading Rondo.

As fare as Toronto and Orlando

Toronto, gets out from under Bargs contract without giving up assets. They also add vets to their bench, which is what their GM wants.

Orlando, they are in a rebuild. They gain 1st round pick and down grade their SG to do it. They also save some $$ in the process.

I'm not a fan of either trade.

I unfortunately have no confidence in Bargnani improving his defense/rebounding and I don't think his offense is good enough to make up for his negative contributions on defense and rebounding. He also struggles as a bench player. Needs big minutes to be consistent. So he is ill-suited to the role above.

Too high a price for Afflalo for me. He is better than Courtney Lee and but not enough of an upgrade to be worth giving up a mid first round pick to get him. Just too a high price.

I think we have a chance to sell high on Green and pair him with Bradley or Sully and entice a team to move a big (the Kings/Sonics, Detroit, Cleveland to name a few). So I don't think there is no scenario where DA adds a legit big without moving Rondo.

I'd pull the trigger on the Toronto deal simply because Bargs has some nice upside if he puts his tools together. I think Toronto could say yes if there isn't a big market for them and they think Terry could retire after a year.

The Orlando deal is not appealing to me, nor do I think they would want to go for it. They are very high on Afflalo as a part of their rebuild so I don't think they are ready to move him for a non-lottery pick and a slight downgrade. And I don't think we should be moving our 16th pick just for an upgrade at SG its too much value to give up.

We would be better served using the 16th pick as part of trade for a bigger name or to try and pick up a backup center like Mozgov and letting Crawford and Bradley have another year to show that they could produce more (especially with Rondo on the court)

The problem with moving to get a big,

Kings/Sonics, Cousins would be the target. His attitude/maturity is a major gamble moving forward.

Detriot, cant see them trading Monroe or Drummond for anyone out side of Rondo

Cavs, Varajao great fit with KG and PP but not for future. He is very productive but 31 next season and very injury prone.

No. I'm not taking Bargnani's contract.

What a spectacular way to downgrade rebounding by trading away our worst-rebounding big - I didn't believe that was even possible to do.

You, sir, have done exceedingly well.

Its obviously an imperfect trade but I proposed signing Blair as a way to make up for the rebounding deficiency.

I think it makes the team better.

If KG says he will retire could we do a sign and trade with the Hawks for Josh Smith? We would send Atlanta KG, Fab Melo, and a first round pick for Josh Smith ? Is that too much? too little? impossible?
