I ask this question because on Twitter, today, a lot of the reporters were talking about the crowd in the Garden and how it was packed with Knicks fans and they've never seen it like that for a playoffs game.

Lots of Knicks fans here today. Loud ones, too. This place feels like MSG North.

It's embarrassing.   "@MrTrpleDouble10: @netw3rk loudest opposing crowd I've ever seen here... Not even close"

I've covered a lot of Celtics playoff games the last five years. This has to be the most empty seats I've seen to start a game.

"New-York-Knicks" chants just drowned out "Let's-Go-Celtics" chants at the TD Garden. Seriously.

Jason Terry Comments on Crowd:
Quote
@scott_souza Terry: Lot of Knick fans here. A closeout game and they come and take over our building, not our building. That fueled me up

I think OKC has some loud fans and Golden State are loud regardless.

I love my Celtics, but GSW will take the cake here.

How loud are they? Well, the whistle was blown, and play still goes because no one can hear it.

Even on Tv you can tell that it's just loud and you see the crowd really into it.

I know, it's insane.

In fact, the entire house is as loud tonight... LOL

Miami.

Just kidding.

But seriously, the OKC fans seems pretty die hard to me.  Warriors fans are known to be a raucous bunch, too.

I'm leaning towards the all-yellow Golden State crowd or the all-blue Oklahoma City crowd.

Sacramento used to be loud.

I knew the Knicks fans were going to come out in case it was a closing game, but the way it sounds it makes it seem like it was a home game for NY.

I'm just glad Merv wasn't announcing the game with his piping the crowd noise statements and a packed house of NY fans.

I've always found this to be a bit too gimmicky for my taste.

Warriors fans are definitely loud, but I've been in the Garden when it's rockin' and it gets extremely loud there too.  Warriors fans seem more consistent, but I'm not sure that isn't a matter of them not being consistently successful.

There seems to be a pattern of teams that only make the playoffs once in a blue moon being really loud when they do get their one opportunity.  As opposed o a team like the C's, who have such a vastly greater amount of success.  Takes more to get a rise out of such fan bases.

Surprised at how many Knicks fans were there today, their cheering on the telecast was often louder than Boston's.

Best crowd in the league has to be OKC. Their fans love them to death and I've seen games where the crowd there has stood up and cheered for the full 48 minutes.
