Being the dedicated an analytical fan I am ::) , I decided to look into some 3-1 deficits and of course, it's not unprecedented to win. As a matter of fact, the Celtics have done it twice.

Team: Boston Celtics (2)
Opponent: Philadelphia 76ers (1)
Round: Eastern Conference Finals
Year: 1968
HCA: No

Team: Los Angeles Lakers (2)
Opponent: Phoenix Suns (3)
Round: Western Semifinals
Year: 1970
HCA: Yes

Team: Washington Bullets (1)
Opponent: San Antonio Spurs (2)
Round: Eastern Conference Finals
Year: 1979
HCA: Yes

Team: Boston Celtics (1)
Opponent: Philadelphia 76ers (2)
Round: Eastern Conference Finals
Year: 1981
HCA: Yes

Team: Houston Rockets (6)
Opponent: Phoenix Suns (2)
Round: Western Semifinals
Year: 1995
HCA: No

Team: Detroit Pistons (1)
Opponent: Orlando Magic (8 )
Round: First
Year: 2003
HCA: Yes

Team: Phoenix Suns (2)
Opponent: Los Angeles Lakers (7)
Round: First
Year: 2006
HCA: Yes

Most notably, both times we came back from a 3-1 deficit, we won the championship. And the first time we didn't even have home court advantage. It might seem terrible to have to win two games on the road, plus one at home (closing on the road is always tough). But of course, that's not a problem because teams have come back without it, and I know this team can too!

I believe in this team, and it might be tough to win two on the road while protecting the home-court. I think we'll need a player next game who has a LeBron-esque performance from last year's Game 6. But it's wholly possible.

I know no team has ever come back from 3-0, but we're taking this one game at a time, and I'm a believer.

GO CELTICS!

Your headline is misleading. We were down 3-0. No team has come back from a 3-0 deficit ever.

Are we down 3-0 now? No.

We're down 3-1. Period.

Cs lost first 2 games deserving to win at least one. If they play like 1st half today, is possible to comeback...Why not...

all of the NBA teams that have ever been down 3-0 and won game 4 have lost the series. What''s your point?

We're not down 3-0 anymore, so I don't care about any 3-0 statistics.

It doesn't matter if you care or not, it doesn't change the fact that we were down 3-0, or the record books.

Why can't there be a first time? We're not down 3-0 anymore, and the players and coaches on both teams know it.

Sure, there can be a first time, and sooner or later there will be. If we win the series, we will be the team that came back from 3-0, not the team that came back from 3-1.

It is only a matter of time until some team who is down 0-3 makes a comeback and wins the series. Might as well be Boston.

I don't think they'll do it but someone definitely will do so someday.

I'm just trying to make the point that teams who are down 3-1 (like we are right now) have come back to win their series's :)

History may remember us as the team which came back from 3-0, but we also came back from 3-1, which is no easy task in itself.

It is only a matter of time until some team who is down 0-3 makes a comeback and wins the series.

Yup! As they say, #yolo

it has only happened two or three times in hockey. once for sure in baseball by the bosox. not sure who else in baseball has done it off the top of my head. never ever done in roundball.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Well, it would be interesting if the Celts pull a Sox '04 in this round.

Portland was close a few years ago against Dallas to do this. They fell short at Game 7.

It's doable.

TP - I like your enthusiasm. It is very true that we are now down 3-1 and, if we somehow win the next game, we will only be down 3-2. While I understand it isn't very likely, the old adage of, 'one game at a time,' really holds true here.
