What are we gonna do? What can we do?

Getting outrebounded 29-3 is a testament to a backcourt's hustle, or lack thereof. Gotta get the boards, or you're out. Can Lee make a difference? We probably won't get to find out.

KG's 17 rebounds basically got negated. He only had one on offense, too. Something's gonna go wrong if this continues.

Usually what you get with small ball. Rondo use to help on the boards. Bradley not much of a rebounder.

Like Chief said...Rondo used to be our #1 rebounder.....he is gone for now....small ball will never get you rebounds....if we had great shooters/slashers...small ball is a menace to the other team...we don't have those guys.they only exist in docs mind.....shav....and Wilcox....IF you are EVER going to get them going, you need to get them in EARLIER......guys aren't robots....they need so support/confidence too.....from doc....forget that....maybe he doesn't realize how his thoughts get out....he dislikes rebounders.and might not SAY it....but we all know when someone doesn't like ya......doc hurts the team constantly with his preferences....they do not fit reality.

I don't think that's normal. They're all shorter than 6'4", there's no reason we can't stop them. And JR wasn't even playing.

This is where Rondo is missed. Even being short he would be right there fighting for rebounds.
Also Sully is missed too.

Defensive boards don't mean as much because we aren't asking our guards to get offensive rebounds - we ask them to get back on defense.

But the Knicks' back court getting this many offensive boards is frustrating. It should be unacceptable to give up so many offensive boards to the guards. Chandler/Martin are a duo combined for just as many as well.

The teams were also pretty close in defensive boards.  It was the offensive rebounding where the Knicks had a 16-3 advantage.

I don't like it when opposing teams grab offensive rebounds, but let's not focus too much on this.

We were down 0-3 and the C's were holding their own on the offensive rebounds against the Knicks (18 to 23).

Defensive rebounds favored the C's 100 to 96.

The Knicks held a slight 119 to 118 edge in the rebounding department and that is pretty bad for the Knicks considering the C's were the 2nd worst rebounding team in the league during the regular season.

Rebounding is virtually a irrelevant statistic in this series.
