FACTS and evidence have been laid our ad infinitum here about doc's coaching failures. nobody can rebutt them yet.
That's funny. The last time you posted something about Doc, I posted the exact quote below:
People are going to eat their words when it comes to Doc like they're currently doing with Rondo.
The classic "you don't know what you have until it's gone" still stays true even till today.
Chase him out of town and see what coach you end up with.
Through this season, I've lost a lot of respect for the Celtics fans. You would think we would know better. I've heard this garbage for the longest about how the eltics fans are some of the most intelligent fans out there. This couldn't be farther from the truth.
Go ahead, chase Doc out of town.
oh the irony!
btw, great rebuttal to the facts and evidence laid out all over this blog.
I've presented, along with many other people, plenty of evidence on this very blog that Doc:
1. Is not afraid to play rookies;
2. Plays big lineups when he has the personnel;
3. Rests his older players;
4. Is willing to give minutes to new and unproven players;
5. Can coach teams that out-perform their projections in the playoffs;
6. Can get over-achievement out of mediocre as well as very good teams.
I'm not sure what evidence you're talking about. But by all means, go back and read what people have written on these myths about Doc.
More important for right now, please suggest a coach you think would be superior - one we can actually get, mind you, not a coach from fantasy-land like Greg Popovich, Phil Jackson etc. - and lay out the facts and evidence as you put them to support your argument. I'd love to hear it.
Still waiting...
DO YOU KNOW HOW TO DO A SEARCH?

?? IT IS ALL OVER!!!!!!!!!!! SEARCH!
DOES DOC NOT TAKE TOO MANY JUMPERS WITH HIS TEAMS?
?
DO WE ATTACK THE PAINT ENOUGH?

DO WE POST UP ENOUGH?
DO WE DRIBBLE DRIVE ENOUGH?
cut enough?
dish enough?
SMALLBALL enough now for ya?
?? how is that working out?
you actually think he is using everyone correctly and getting the most out of each?
you actually think he is good at coaching guys up offensively?
you think JET is just a spot up shooter? and not to use him on P&R's as well. or let him create off the dribble? have we done that enough this year? NO.
you think not teaching offensive rebounding is smart? really? Do you realize offensive boards=more points and chances? How is that working out for us? How did that getting back on D work out against those 3's by the knicks as well as all year long?
and do not tell me we cannot do what i listed above in certain matchups. doc does not even try enough.
wait you saying doc can coach up? that is laughable. he relies on talent. if he coached up the 2009 or 2010 team he could have two more titles. but no he has one which he relied on talent. 2008. talent carried us last year also. rondo and KG in the playoffs. if doc was such a great coach the sixers should have never taken us to 7.
if doc was a great coach after watching his smallball fail game after game after game he would try some bigs no? maybe different strategy? shav can rebound and score some. why not try him? is it not smarter to go down swinging UNLIKE what doc is doing?
END THREAD!
You seem to be confused about what a fact is (hint: writing something in all caps, with lots of emoticons, does not magically transform it from an undefended opinion into a fact).
Let me give you an example. You are complaining about small ball.
In this series Doc's preferred starting lineup has consisted of a C, a PF, a PF/SF, another PF and an SG (albeit a small one). We have a height advantage at every position except C, and an overall size advantage at every position except C and PG.
That seems like the opposite of small ball to me. Pierce is playing SG precisely because it gives him an advantage against Prigioni et al.
Doc isn't playing bigger guys off the bench because Wilcox shows no sign of being able to defend, particularly against the pick and roll.
Here's a quote supporting my point:
"Moreover, he shows an unfortunate tendency to switch onto opposing wings when defending the pick and roll. "
http://www.celticstown.com/2013/03/04/chris-wilcox-things-are-starting-to-come-along/This is a limitation because of New York's reliance on the pick and roll:
http://knicksnow.com/posts/3328/Round%201%20Scouting%20Report%20Update?page_num=2#.UX6Klb_Fg9QJust for the record, I do know how to "DO A SEARCH!!!!" because I can post links to my sources - something you still haven't done (in part because you have not quoted any fact or evidence...):
So, if Wilcox isn't going to play we are left with Randolph, who has been deemed unworthy of an NBA roster spot by every team in the league for the last three years, until the Celtics signed him. Are you suggesting we play him? Who would he cover, at PF in a big lineup - Carmelo Anthony?
We could go on and on, and lots of people have on this blog, but these are "facts" and "evidence." If you have some supporting your points, please share it with us.
