no doubt about it. We would be up 3-0 right now if rondo was playing. Rondo's body language shows that he plays hard every single minute.

j.r. smith said it in an interview
they are better with rondo
now rondo was out ball movement was everywhere
so its easy for the knicks to read it, that goes steals and turnovers

Um ya think? a lot of posters owe him an apology of sorts.

We would've won this series with him...gonna get swept without him

Cute little theory we were better without him.....then the playoffs happened. Kg was was even more hurt and even worse in 2009 when rondo carried us to the finals so I don't want that excuse either.this team is a laughable playoff joke without him...even without kg at all we made the second round with rondo, pierce and Allen

This doesn't prove it. There are too many factors that vary to prove such a strong assertion. I'm just happy to see Rondo haters shut their mouth up.

When he first got hurt it was actually good for the team. It forced guys to step up and they did.

But Rondo steps up in he playoffs and he would make a huge difference.

With all the careless passes and turnovers you have to think he would do it better.  With no shot blockers other than Chandler he would be able to drive and create for others.

I hope the Cs can just pull out one more win for KG and PP so they get a good sendoff.  I am afraid this is the end of a era.

i think most here knew we needed rondo for THE PLAYOFFS. however we did move the ball better for quite some time without him after his injury in the regular season. where are the people who said we would be fine for the playoffs and would flip a switch??
LET'S GO CELTICS!

wilcox aley oops - needs rondo
the jet (pick n' roll) - needs a center
lee and crawford (attack the basket) - needs a floor spacer center
bradey (inside cutter) - needs rondo

All of a sudden, these haters are nowhere to be found.  Whinning and complaining about how better we are without Rondo.  It's a shame really and the way people kicked him and dragged him through the mud while he was down, they should be ashamed of themselves.  It was just ignorant.

And yes, this does prove it.  Even with a healthy KG, I highly doubt we still wouldn't be loosing.  Everyone sank back to that mediocrity after that little run we had and some of them never got out of it.

Rondo is the BEST player on this team and the leader.  This is HIS team.

It was a fluke we ever "played better without him"

rondo saw it staying at home...and i do believed someone talked to him on how his playing style is...rondo is needed right now... bass wilcox kg pierce bradley needed rondo for offense

It would have been a fluke if Pierce and Garnett played great, and we were still losing. The problem is not Rondo, the problem is the production of those two guys fell off a cliff over the last three months or so. Oh well, time to start over.

during the season we looked ok without Rondo because we tried to run a lot and get easier baskets - in the playoffs, NO RUNNING ALLOWED and giving PP the ball in the 1/2 court does not work anymore

I just hate that the talk by the media and fans was immediately after he was injured. That made no sense to me.

They criticized his defense..which I understand...but just maybe its because he worked so hard on the offensive end he was  kinda drained on the other. I think Ab can agree with that because he was getting WORKED by Felton the entire series. His lockdown defense has been tremendously effected.

No need to gloat because this SUCKS, but you need more than a home game winning streak to completely write someone off and render them useless.

yes....this is the cold hard facts.......age finally caught up with KG , PP ,  RAy too, .    no one cheats Father Time

that's why the old stars like Ray run and jump on team with young studs .....in hopes of winning again

without young star level talent,  the C's will become bottom feeders
