Its sports... You have ups and downs.  We knew our run couldn't last... That's what happens when you build around guys in their early 30s.  We were great for 3.5 years.  It was a lot of fun, but I personally enjoyed following this team even when they stunk as long as their was hope for the future.  It had been tough the last couple years following this team during the regular season, because they were essentially sitting ducks... Non-contenders past their prime living on fumes from their past glory and very minimal hope for the future.   If there's something to be positive about here, it's that lotto-ville means a massive influx of young talent presumably with potential.  Sure, the vast majority of these "futcha stahs" we bring in will end up like gerald green or Marcus banks... But every once in a while you stumble across a Big Al or a Rondo... And it's a heck of a lot of fun watching those kids develop.   I know we'd all prefer being perpetual contenders or to have a young phenom on the team like durant... But for now we will have to settle for lotto dreams.  Highly unlikely we make the playoffs next year... Probably not going to be relevant for many years after that... But it will be fun.  We will lose some bandwagoners who came on board in 2007.... It's most certainly going to be a transition... But the unknown of the future is somewhat exciting.  Let's try to make the most of it.

Andrew Wiggins or bust.

There is a difference between being negative and being realistic.   I do not think we can win this series.

andrew wiggins, jabari parker, aaron gordon, julius randle, dakari johnson, harrison twins, james young.

we need 1 of these phenoms to pair with rondo and sully and we'll be fine.

Well, I don't care how people approach their fandom. It's annoying to be called out for being delusional after an "optimist prime" post, but this is the Interwebs, after all.

I'm just enjoying KG and PP minutes in green, as painful as it is to be destroyed by the Knucklebockers. It's in times like these when you appreciate what it means to have this kind of players wearing Celtic green. It's sad to watch our team not able to make it a series, but these guys are Celtics for life. They were robbed their deserved multiple rings, by injuries and by Joey Crawford, but during this journey you could always count on them to beat any team. And I don't want to see them in another uniform.

Avery and Green are not superstars, they may never be All Stars, but they're the right kind of guys for building a team. I expect bigger things from them, but in the meantime I love to see Jeff getting back to where he was supposed to be. Avery is struggling bad, Felton is torching him, and there must be a reason... but he'll get a good lesson at worst.

We are missing Sully, Barbosa and of course our unique Rondo. Rajon and Jared will be back and they'll be better players.

The rest of the guys may or may not be longtime Celtics, but they are our players, so I'll be rooting for them until they go fishing. I like TWill, and I hope he stays with the team.

Next year we could be a lottery team, and it's not a nice thing to watch, so even if this team has no chance to survive in this series, enjoy the remainder of this era. Hopefully they can win on Sunday.

ping pong balls are not our friends, but I'd love to get Wiggins or Jabari Parker to be our next superstar.
