This guy is so underrated by Celtics fans. We have a better up version of big baby with a consistent jump shot, actual post game, and the ability to rebound as well as a good work ethic. When he comes back, he will be solid and consistent. Im personally pumped up to see him come back next year.

So am I. If this surgery was as successful as advertised, I think he'll be even better. He could be a 15/10 guy for us going forward, that wouldn't surprise me in the least. Lets not forget his bball iq... huge steal for us.

He's the same size or bigger than most successful power forwards actually.  Zach Randolph, David West, David Lee, Kevin Love, Carlos Boozer, Paul Millsap, Kenneth Faried, Elton Brand, Chris Bosh, Serge Ibaka, Nicola Vucevic, Luis Scola etc.  Not to include starting role players like Glen Davis, Brandon Bass, Reggie Evans, Udonis Haslem

He was fat when he was much younger.  Does insulting hard working successful people make you feel better about yourself?  It's certainly neither constructive nor civil.

The Washington Wizards do not have a core as good as the Celtics do.  They have Wall, Beal and... Valancianus? Seraphin?  Rondo, Bradley, Green, Sullinger is way better than the Washington Wizards. That's not even mentioning the 25 million in cap space freed up when Paul and KG retire.

By the way, the Washington Wizards have a pretty good record with Wall this season even though they lost Beal and other players to injury.

He's smaller than Ibaka and Love, and considerably smaller than Bosh and Vucevic. The rest of the lot have always been considered less than prototypical in size.

In any case, his main problem is not lengh, per se, it's the fact that he can't get off the ground at all.

You are correct about Bosh and Vucevic.  He is the exact height as Love with a bigger wingspan however.  From what I can find, Ibaka is the same height with a couple of inches on the wingspan, although I couldn't find any official measurements.

Athleticism is very different from size.  I was responding directly to a criticism of Sullinger's size.  However if you want to talk athleticism, I don't think most of the power forwards I listed are exactly above the rim players themselves.  There is absolutely NO reason to doubt Sullinger's ability to play in the NBA considering he's a better rebounder than most NBA forwards and centers, and that was playing through pain.  He's also a much better shooter and defender than an average NBA player and that was as a rookie.

I'd love to see him replace his fat with some muscle, like Roy Hibbert did. Hibbert was a fat chump going into Georgetown with overweight problems, couldn't even do a push-up! Ha! But he's now a lean mean machine. Would love to see Sullinger dedicate himself and do what Big Baby couldn't do.

Yeah, that's dandy. Chris Taft was projected as a top 5 pick in 2005, and the initial mock drafts by DraftExpress and NBADraft.net had him first overall for a while.
