  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

Good Lord is this depressing.

Naw, there are a lot of knuckleheads that think we are better without him.   I think the proof is in the pudding, we are not.   Time for them to eat crow.

Because we'd be going to the NBA finals with him right now?

Give him a healthy Ray Allen and PP and we make it last year. We'd certainly be beating the Knicks of all teams with him. But hey, you think he's terrible, so he obviously must be.  ::)

It's not time for anyone to eat anything. If Pierce/KG were 5 years younger/healthier, if we had a competent 6th man (not Terry) and if we had at least one effective big, having or not having Rondo wouldn't make a difference.

Don't know about the Finals, but they wouldn't be making franchise history for the lowest points scored in the playoffs (his biggest stage).Rondo may be a lot of things, but he will try to put the team on his back. The only one's so far that's tried to do that is PP or Kg. Somebody else has to step up and take that challenge.

That's a lot of impossible if's (except for effective big man)..lol. This is the team we have and last yr was a similar team (no decent big, no competent 6th man, Ray a shell of himself with bone spurs)..they still managed (even though it was ugly). This team is lacking something (besides an All-star PG) maybe it's their demeanor..I don't know.

Did I hear a lot of "Ifs?" *palm face*

With Rondo, we win this series EASY.  Period.

Yea, it's time for all these Rondo haters to eat crow

I would actually love if they didn't have to eat crow because it SUCKS losing to the Knicks..I swear those fans are acting like they already won the championship...I'd much rather they be eating crow at the end of this series.

This team has to get back to it's ball movement because that ISO crap isn't working (and hasn't worked for a very long time).

I think we could give the Heat a run for their money. It's true that the other teams in the east were missing key players in the playoffs last year but our wings consisted of PP on a strained knee ligament, Ray hobbling around on a bad ankle and Pietrus still recovering from the concussion/neck injuries. With a healthy PP/Green/Bradley/Lee/Terry we could easily be quite a bit better than we were last year.

I think it's reasonable to say the Celtics would at least be competitive in this series if Rondo were healthy and playing.

Without him, they're just not a very good half-court team and I wouldn't expect them to beat anybody in the playoffs in either conference right now.

I absolutely abhor when people get presumptuous and say that we would be in a different situation based on the absence of a player.

Who are you to say we would be up 2-0 if Rondo was healthy?

I take it you'd be happier if he qualified "If Rondo was playing we would be 2-0 up" with "probably" or "I think"?
