i think this line-up can match-up the knicks line-up

crawford
lee
pierce
shavlik
kg

this is also good for defensive purposes
bradley
lee
pierce
kg (kg can guard any pf, giving him the size to hit 2's)
shavlik (im ok with shavlik tyson)

bench scorer is not a problem anymore

Yeah. That makes sense. ::) ::) ::)

PG: Fab Melo
SG: Shavlik Randolph
SF: DJ White
PF: Jason Terry
C: Terrence Williams

Now we can overpower them on the boards because our guards are taller than theirs  ::)  ::) ::)

I agree with 'Who', we need to scrap the Bass/Green/Pierce pairing (at least for this series).  When NY plays their 3-guard lineup, with Melo at PF, we just can not matchup with NY's speed on the perimeter.

I'd actually play Pierce at PF though, as I truly believe he s still our best defender on Melo.  Let Green cover Shumpert/Smith.

As for which two guards start, I'd also start Lee/Bradley, but would go with whoever has the hot hand as the game progresses.

I think they should have Bass coming off the bench. Either start Crawford, Lee, or Terry. Would give us one more ball handler on the floor and allow us to put Pierce or Green on Melo which i like. Also Bass coming in for KG, Green, or Pierce if one of those two got in foul trouble, or when Martin comes in. But we'll see. Doubt we go with anything different.

No Terry? I wouldn't mind seeing Twill getting some burn at that back up point guard spot right now. Besides pierce, he's probably our best ball handler.

Its too late for big changes but if for some reason the owners called me up to be bench coach Friday, I'd do this:

Start: KG, Bass, Green, PP, Terry

Minutes planned: 34, 34, 38, 34, 30

6th man: Avery, minutes planned 24, full court pressure for all those minutes.

7th: Wilcox:14 at center. So KG or Wilcox in all 48
8th: Lee 18
9th Jordan: 14

Doc needs to give minutes to Shav and Wilcox, or KG will end up breaking down sooner rather than later:

Quote
Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers said center Kevin Garnett suffered something similar to a hip pointer during Tuesday's loss to the New York Knicks in Game 2 of an Eastern Conference first-round series at Madison Square Garden. Rivers stressed the injury is not serious and he does not expect it to keep Garnett off the floor moving forward.

Garnett is expected to participate in practice Thursday and be in the starting lineup for Friday's Game 3 at TD Garden. Garnett sat out 10 of the final 13 games of the regular season because of ankle inflammation and strategic rest.

I would also start Terry at point, plus give an opportunity to T-Will at some stage throughout the game. Doc simply needs to use more guys, we're running out of steam at the end of each game because Doc is only using 7 guys in the rotation smh.

I am giving up on Terry. He is creating nothing offensively. Not attacking his defender and/or looking to create off the dribble or in the PnR. Just a spot up a shooter. It's not enough to outweigh his negatives as a defender and rebounder.

Crawford is junk but at least he is aggressive and attempts to attack their defensive players. With our offensive issues, that is needed.

This was the team that was playing well in February, I don't understand why Doc went away from it.
