I think it would be better for the franchise that we lose in 4 or 5 games against the Knicks since such a scenario would kind of give DA the green light to get into major moves. Whereas winning the series (which is still possible, if the team suddenly starts to play for 48 minutes, even if it seems unlikely).
I don't like the idea of blowing it up just for the sake of it : reshuffling the roster with a few interesting tweaks would be great but we would have to be very lucky to follow that course. And I think it would be a trap to use KG and Pierce as centerpieces again. In order to improve, the team simply has to let these two go.
Now I don't mean they necessarily have to get traded or to retire but if they stay on the team they can't be considered our key players once again. Rondo has to be THE key, and then, in order, it has to be Green, Sullinger and Bradley.
Also, from an emotional standpoint, I would prefer that KG retires instead of watching him play like a ghost as he currently does.
