Game one... although there were some dissatisfying calls, I wasn't particularly upset with it.

Can't say the same about game two. That was despicable. Embarrassing day to be an NBA ref. Green or Pierce couldn't BUY a foul.

SO many fouls against the Celtics. Terrible calls all around.

I am not pleased

Disclaimer: Once again, not trying to defer blame for our offensive woes. We need Rondo back. But the horrific officiating made it a hell of a lot more frustrating, that's for sure

Even with beneficial foul calls, that doesn't solve our offensive problems. I don't care about the refs.

Added a disclaimer to my initial post. I agree. It just added insult to injury IMO. It's clear who the NBA wants to win this one...

Irrelevant. I'm sorry, but people make too much of a big deal about the refs around here. I'm not attacking you, I see these post all over the place. I could see a game that we get knocked out by one or two points being mad by a bad call. But this game was 100% about the Knicks being the MUCH better team.

Having KG out there for more than a 2 min span does tho.

He's our best player

I would be surprised if doc didn't comment and get from fined. It was REAL bad.

I know people look at the end result and say it didn't make a difference but it clearly affectedthe game. There was no rhythm. How many minutes did our starters get to play together?

It completely disrupted the game.

In ajy case huge shocker when we fet the make uup calls on friday

KG has two PF's within the first 3.5 minutes... Game 2 plan was to get him in rhythm quickly. Kind of hard to abide by that plan when he's on the bench with 8 minutes to go in the first.

Refs called it extremely tight against the Celtics, and gave EVERYTHING to the Knicks. I watched Melo get breathed on a few times on the way to the cup and get calls. It's hard to overcome the momentum swing brought forth by a barrage of poor officiating

If you only have one plan then you're in trouble. And they did just fine in the first half even with KG on the bench.

As for Melo, he's a "star" in the NBA. He's going to get calls like that. It's the way things work and have for a very long time. Paul Pirce benefited from it for years.

I think the refs were horrible.  Our guys got in foul trouble, they call it one way for NYC and another for us.  They took our players out of the game and let the Knicks play.   Typical Stern Era star calls even Smith gets calls that PP doesn't.

The officiating sucked

But not as bad as the C's sucked

Therefore, it's irrelevant

The officiating was awful.

Ultimately, though, the C's didn't lose because of the refs.  They earned that loss all by themselves.

I actually thought they were terrible

They were even bad in garbage time, which says something

At least they covered the spread
Jeff Green - Top 5 SF

If history is of any indication and guidance, then refs will favor us in Boston for games 3 and 4.

Just like last year, where Heat were heavily favored in the first two games, but refs helped us a lot in games 3 and 4 because we were the home team. Let's see how that plays out.
