I really hope so.  I think Pierce still has a few years left in him, but they shouldn't be spent on a crappy team.  KG should retire before he becomes a true shell of himself.

Unless they come back for less money and less of role it should be, otherwise they will eat up cap space and keep the Celtics good enough for the 6th or 5th seed next year which is mediocre at best. Time to rebuild.

Their body language isn't the same as it was the past few years. They're tired. They feel old, and they need help. I think Danny would have to make some quick moves or have a plan in place before summer for them not to hang it up after this year. If anyone stays, it'd be Pierce, if he doesn't get traded.
BTW, the Smith everyone wanted to go after was the wrong one. Josh<JR

As soon as the Knicks decided to start playing defense tonight, the Celtics were done.  You could see this coming back in the 2nd quarter.
