Call me a little shocked, bc this is the last thing you would think this guy would excel in.

When he first came into the league, i remember an out of shaped 7 footer that had a good feel for the game. Also strong , crafty, skilled

But as years have gone by, building his experience and his body, and on top of being an advanced offensive player now winning the DPY award, Marc Gasol should be considered a top 3 Center in the league.

Unbelievable he was the 38th pick. What a steal.

Some may consider him the top center in the league, the top passing big man in the league, the top defender in the league....

He's just awesome

Steal for who?  Marc Gasol was drafted by the Lakers, and subsequently traded for his brother, Pau.

Aside from that, yeah, I'd definitely put M. Gasol up against any center in the league currently.  Dude is a beast.

Well, get ready to be more impressed, as he was actually the 48th pick. I remember talking about Marc the year before he was drafted and everybody assumed we would take him at the end of the first round - like it was obvious. It is really too bad, as I am a huge fan.

I like Marc Gasol's combination of intelligence and athleticism more than I like DeAndre Jordan's.

And also an excellent shooter. Has a sweet looking stroke actually.

Would look great on a celts uniform.  Watching the video more closely, he is just the boss out there it looks like. Always communicating and helping/pushing his own guys around on the defensive end. Team defense looks great. On the offense, he is killing the 76rs inside and out. His passing and phenomenal for a big guy. Just for kicks, what would it take for the Celts to get Gasol?

The usual, Bass and filler plus a future protected 2nd rounder.

That feels like comparing Paul Pierce and Gerald Green or some other absurd comparison.

I don't think anyone would prefer Jordan to Gasol

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
I love Gasol.  He's so skilled and just a force.

Glad to see him get some national recognition.

Well deserved.

Perhaps the most complete Center in the game right now...no weaknesses in his game...can't "Hack-A-Marc", lol...

Love his game.

Geez, that's like the other thread with Horford. Moving Rondo for either player would be tough, but you do get your big man in the middle for years to come. You ask for Teague if you are going for Horford. I guess you ask for Conley with a Gasol deal[?]. I think if either deal was on the table, you have to do it.

I don't think either team [especially Memphis] is about to go for a Rondo trade...which is fine with me, too.
