I'm gonna do something bad to my TV!

Those were absolute killers yesterday. So many bad passes (not to mention the missed layups always seem to come right as the momentum is about to swing our way),

I'm a big Bradley fan, and he did make some big shots Saurday, but lordy he's got to start taking care of the ball.

on board with what you're saying.  thought that game was a prime example of what we're missing without Rondo.  We've been spoiled by his ballhandling abilities where we've never had to worry about any fullcourt pressure being applied or someone being able to pressure him to give up the ball.

We have no one on this roster that's close to his level.

even if Rondo did nothing else, no points, no rebounds, no steals,  he'd still provide that steady hand with getting the ball up court without worrying about a turnover.  Knicks just have to realize AB and Lee aren't PG-quality ballhandlers and start applying full court pressure and I think they'll stifle the C's pretty quickly

Add JET to the list too. Heck, even KG had three turnovers. Jeff Green and Paul Pierce combined for twelve yesterday.

See, this is where we value Bass (who also had 10 rebounds!)

It seems like Rondo is tha only one that can make those passes. But yeah it was too many careless turnovers due to bas passes. They have to be better with that. I get moving tha ball, but don't risk it if tha opening isn't there.

Yes i have been saying this for sometime. i cannot stand when they run that pick and switch play. Avery picks up his dribble every time and then pump fakes like 3 passes then lobs it to paul. I love the idea of the play but get the ball to Pierce earlier. I still say Pierce needs to bring the ball up on offense.

Also it kills our offense when he picks up his dribble so early. All the defense does is deny everyone and it waste time at least Rondo kept his dribble most of the time or could find option B. Idk if it keeps up Doc should consider Twill to run some offense cause he is a decent passer.

This is the downside of having Green and Pierce on the floor together with one of them as the nominal 2.  The correct adjustment may be to have Green coming off the bench again because I don't think benching Bradley in favor of a better ball-handling guard will solve the problem.

Benching Bass and putting another ball-handler (Courtney Lee) out there alongside Bradley, Pierce and J.Green would go a long way to fixing these turnover problems.

He's not a point guard, that's for sure. Unfortunately we don't have a PG and he's currently the closest thing we have of the sort.

Maybe Terry would be a better guy to bring the ball up since he's failing at his designated role?

I'm actually curious as to why Doc likes Bradley taking the ball up the court. Off the top of my head, Pierce and Lee could definitely do better while Jeff and KG wouldn't be bad alternatives. TWill and Craw are also options. That's 7 options for PG, yet Doc always chooses Bradley: why?

Why wouldn't it?  Bradley's not even the point guard.  He brings the ball up and then passes it off.  He's sometimes such an incompetent passer that he can't even execute that correctly.  The two post feeds he messed up in game 1 were as standard as you can get.  There are two ways to fix this.  One option is to let Pierce bring it up all the time but this won't happen because they don't want to tire him out.  Pierce only starts to do this later in games.

Option two is have another guard on the floor besides Avery who can bring the ball up, anything to get the ball out of his hands.  Option two is flawed too because of Doc.  When Lee and Bradley played together, Bradley handled the ball far more for some reason.  It was to the point that Lee was significantly marginalized in the offense as a starter.  I think they wanted to develop Bradley so they let him handle the ball a lot. It's understandable in the regular season but I'd hope they wouldn't allow it in the playoffs.

Edit:  Last season, when Rondo and Ray were out and Bradley started for the first time along with E'twaun Moore, Bradley almost never handled the ball.  It was mostly Pierce with Moore bringing it up early in games so as not to fatigue Pierce.  Bradley's handle and passing ability have not gotten better since he first started last season.  I don't understand why his responsibilities have gone up.

I think PP and Lee sound like great options to bring the ball up court, at least until they actually try it for a while against a pressure defense. Didn't Paul almost have a turnover for taking too long to cross half court yesterday?

And do you seriously think KG could dribble the ball up court against pressure on a regular basis? Yikes.

One of the biggest reasons for the loss was the unforced errors. Half of our turnovers came from sloppy careless plays not caused in any way by the Knicks defense.

That is what is the most frustrating and why Bradley's turnovers irritated me the most. You don't want to turn the ball over but if it happens driving the rack trying to be aggressive that's one thing. His turnovers could have been prevented just dumb passes/decisions. Lets not forget though that was his 1st playoff game hopefully they were jitters and he's better next game.

Among the many bad passes Bradley made in game 1, the one thing that stood out to me, and has for a while, is his inability to make a post-entry pass.  Whether he was trying to feed Pierce/KG/Green, he just couldn't do it.

Bradley needs to be an off-the-ball player exclusively.  He has zero ability to initiate the offense.

Who's first playoff game? Did you miss last season's first round?
