If ever there was a year to grab some European talent it has to be 2013. Adetetokunbo, Jaiteh, Saric and Gobert have all made cases for themselves as first round talent and they now joined by the star of the 2013 Nike Hoops summit Livio Jean-Charles.

Posting a dominant stat line of 27-13-2-2-1 Jean-Charles displayed a relentless tenacity that helped lead the world team to a victory over an immensely talented American Squad.

At 6'-9, 210 with a 7.25' wingspan Jean-Charles seems to fit the part athletically of a NBA power forward, although he will need to extend his range to become an effective NBA Power Forward. While still fairly raw, he already posseses a strong face up game and can rebound at a high level.

Assuming he declares, draft express has Jean-Charles rated as the 6th pick in the second round but it would only takes one team to fall in love with his motor and physical tools and he could find his way into the late lotto.

There's quality to be found across the sea this year and even if it takes a season or two for them to come over, any of these players could help build a youth movement to bridge the gap to the next generation of Celtic Basketball.

Player's that have shown out in the past in the Nike Hoop Summit... Dirk Nowitzki, Tony Parker, Serge Ibaka, Yi Jianlian, Luis Scola, Bismack Biyombo,Nicolas Batum,Andrea Bargnani, Omri Casspi, Enes Kanter and Vladimir Radmanovic.

Although Realgm's Dan Hanner seems less enthused.

"And of course the international squad was led by Livio Jean-Charles scoring. But I thought Fran Fraschilla summed it up perfectly. It wasn’t really a first-round performance. As many points as Jean-Charles scored, it wasn’t one of those games like Bismack Biyombo had a few years ago which moved him up into the lottery. Jean-Charles got “garbage points” as Fraschilla said, and that was spot on. I was more impressed with the passing that got him the ball, than his individual athleticism."

I think he's being a bit tough on Jean-Charles, What I like about the performance is that he showed that he can function as a dominant role player amongst some of the greatest international players in the world.

Leading a team in scoring and rebounding that features Andrew Wiggins, Sergei Karasev and Karl Towns is no small feet in it's own right.

Most of Livio's points came on uncontested layups in transition, off offensive rebounds or defensive breakdowns in the halfcourt.  That said, if he can rebound, he would be a god send after how the Celtics have rebounded since 2008.

Jabri Parker, Julius Randle, the Harrison brothers and Aaron Gordon aren't good enough for you? Sorry friend, Larry Bird isn't walking through that door.

If your referring to the video, hes playing against the top world competition including the potentially best prospect since Lebron, Andrew Wiggins.

Color me impressed actually. He has similiar build to Hakim Warrick with narrow shoulders, but bc he is a sf, it doesn't really matter.

6'9 , plays with agression, intensity on both ends of the court. Plus he is known to be able to score at will.

What he did at the game vs the us is impressive. Most that have done well in those kind of games, were able to handle or exceed in the nba.

Not saying automatically to pick him up, but i doubt he is going to remain a 2nd round pick. Just too much things going on.

Also another euro, Dennis Schroeder apparently is the next coming of Tony Parker. 6'2 , super quick that can penetrtate to the bucket at will.

These kind of top end euro players should not be neglected

At 210 where would the power come from, that is skinny as heck and a surefire recipe to get pushed around on the post.   Sully would rip his arms out of their sockets!

he is a SF. The length would more than make up lack of bulk.

But def he should pack on 10 more pounds and eventually be at 235-240

Admittedly this thread may have been a bit reactionary, but honestly I was just shocked that I've never heard of him.

France is quickly turning into a basketball powerhouse much in the same mold as Canada. Both country's have watched dominant point guards light up NBA talent over the past decade leading many kids to say why not me?

Batum, Seraphin, Fournie, Gobert... there is first round French talent coming out every year.

I see different players. Like Tommy always says Sully is a position rebound whereas Jean-Charles reminds me more of a high energy max effort Kenneth Fareid type.

Certainly not saying he's the next Maninmal only that there's been a precedence for slightly undersized energy glass guys succeeding in recent times.
