I love how Indiana's defenders stay with their man at the three point line when Lebron drives.  So many teams just sink down and let Lebron find wide open shooters again and again.  It's refreshing to see Indiana be responsible on defense.  They are so well coached.

It helps that they have a legit shot blocker in the middle to rely on though.

Sure but whether there is a shot blocker in the middle or not, straying too far off your man is not going to bother Lebron.  All it does is just leave you vulnerable to open threes.  So many teams are just irresponsible when they play against Lebron.  They commit the same breakdown again and again.  It's repulsive.

If that was Bass instead of Haslem on Stephenson's last drive, guaranteed Bass would have picked up a foul, jumped out of the way or not even been in position.  It's comical how soft Bass is on defense.  Stand in and take a freaking charge to help your team.

It's awesome how Bass gets trounced on here for his play even when he's not playing, and his team is not even playing.

Already trying to delude myself that the Spurs match up better with the Heat anyway.

The Spurs are a more talented, smarter, and better coached version of the Pacers. They have a legit shot at taking that series.

Do they have a rim protector though that will discourage guys from driving which is the Heats strength? I don't think Duncan is that guy anymore, hopefully im wrong but something tells me LeBron and Wade will just live in the paint against the Spurs.

Duncan is absolutely still that guy.  He is still an outstanding rim protector who annoys me because he can do it without fouling or getting called for fouls.  His block percentage was 6.4 compared to Hibbert's 6.7.  His defensive rating was actually better than Hibbert, 95 versus 97.  Duncan's still playing like he's in his prime.  It's ridiculous.

I can't believe how great Duncan was this year without the 4.5 x 10 x 4.5 x 10 plan Garnett was on.  Imagine what Duncan could be doing this postseason if he had been on the Garnett minute plan.  Wilt's 100 point record would be in jeopardy every night.  There would be a campaign to take away Lebron's MVP and give it to Duncan instead.  Thank goodness Popovich is a stupid coach who doesn't know how to keep Duncan fresh.

The Pacers were played even in the rebounding battle, didn't generate many turnovers, and got zero production from their bench and starting guards.  It's easy to see why they lost.

They need to dominate the glass, force turnovers, and get some help from at least one of their roleplayers (Stephenson, Hill, Augustin). 

Really need to build some depth in the offseason.  Getting Granger back will help, whether they use him or trade him for multiple quality bench players.

Huh, ok stat wise he's right there with Hibbert and no doubt he's been playing great. I just see him slower to the ball and then you know he's not going to play the minutes Hibbert does. We don't know yet but if it is Heat/Spurs the obvious advantage for SA is going to be Parker could see him destroying Miami.

The Spurs also have Splitter, who is a very good rim protector in his own right.  If they play their minutes right (and I expect Popovich to do so) they should do pretty well at contesting shots in the paint.

He deserves to get trounced for how soft he is.  The real culprit is of course Ainge for signing him.  How did Ainge manage to commit the same mistake he made with Mark Blount about nine years later?  Blount and Bass are almost the same exact players except Bass commits half the turnovers Blount did.  That's all.  Ainge and Rivers deserve each other frankly.  Just like Rivers hasn't bothered to expand the offensive scheme at all the past five seasons, Ainge just continues to draft swingmen who can't dribble and falls in love with big men who can only hit mid-range jumpers.

Indiana had also missed 10 possible points from lay-ups and putbacks by the half.

Stephenson and George were too cold for Alaska, let alone Miami.


Also, for all the criticism that Rondo gets hit with, at least he's successful bringing the ball up the court under pressure. That seems unremarkable, but I've been watching a lot more George Hill recently...

that pretty much summed it up,   Indy let LeBron run wild,  with the help of refs,   once again fouls were taboo on the King.

unless the refs call fouls on James ,  or play the game equal , then there is little chance for Indy to wiin

You are right about refs. But Indys played very well first 2 game @ Miami. Lost game in in last 3 secs, and winning game 2
