Usually the teams who rest the longest while waiting in the NBA Finals for the other candidate tend to lose the NBA Finals, I've just noticed...

normally yes, but in the Spurs case, it's a totally different story. Duncan and Ginobili especially need all the rest they can get.

I hope Indiana wins but it's too bad San Antonio made the Finals because I don't think Indiana stands a shot against them.  San Antonio has the size to neutralize Indiana's big men on the block and on the boards.  From there, San Antonio's just better.

Ya know, that's kind of funny.  The longer I have been a Celtics fan, the less I hate the other teams...even the Lakers.  I have just become a fan of good basketball.  Some of my favorite memories were watching (or listening to) Celtics/Lakers games...so how can you hate that?  (But still love the Celtics most!)

Makes a lot of sense to me. I had never thought of it that way - obviously my change of heart about the Spurs lies in the same vein; it's because I'm starting to appreciate what they're doing more and more... which in turn stems from a better understanding of the game. (or so I'd like to think haha)

The hate between the two teams have softened lately imo. But of course, living in LA, I get the glares from Laker fans. But I'd usually bring up things to down on the Lakers  .

I do see some Heat fans here and there in LA, particularly guys wearing the #6 jersey. That's when they get my attention!

Impressive how Hibbert has upped his game in the playoffs. Second year in a row he's done that.

Averaging 16/10/2 on 49.5% FG% and 56.6% TS%. Up from 12/8/2.5 on 45% FG% and 49% in the regular season. Maximizing his defensive talent too.

Hibbert did the same last year but I chalked that up to matchups since he was going against a 6-9 Glen Davis and a 6-8 Udonis Haslem + undersized backup centers. But his performance this year against Tyson Chandler in particular as well as Al Horford and Chris Bosh has been really impressive.

It continues to surprise me how Hibbert continues to improve and just how much he has already managed to achieve despite being so limited athletically and with a fairly mediocre skill-level. Truly getting the most out of what talent he has.

Rest usually comes back to bite teams in the ass.  It's usually a disadvantage than an advantage.  And I don't think the old guys like Duncan should have a long rest.  Rythm is very important  and ninety nine percent of the times, that is usually lost when given too much rest

The flopping by Miami has just been disgusting over these couple games they should be embarrassed James, Chalmers, but worse of all Battier. I know that's his style but he's never been THAT bad there's no place for the crap he does. If you watch him he's freakin flopping every rebound every screen and every slight bit of contact. I don't know how he hasn't been fined.
