Hibbert's been a beast in the playoffs. Another example of why you need a legit big man if you want to contend.

A big is definitely a plus, but you need the necessary pieces around them. Like Lance Stephenson won Game 6 for the Pacers with his penetration and athleticism. They need their pg George Hill, they lost game 5 because he was out and a legit pg really burns and exposes a team like the Knicks.  You need a complete team to contend which definitely includes a legit big and other good players.

I think it's time for the knicks to let JR Smith walk and hand his minutes over to Shumpert. They also have to trade Amare for some younger help up front. Amare, Camby, and Kmart aren't going to cut it.

Lot's of teams have the George Hills and Lance Stephensons to do it, very few have players like Roy Hibbert.

Just look at 3 out of the 4 remaining playoff teams.

Memphis: Marc Gasol and ZBo

Spurs: Timmy D and Tiago Splitter

Pacers: Hibbert and West.

Who will take Amare and 1. His contract. 2. His knees? I think they just have to cut their losses and buy him out, if the price isn't to high. No team in their right mind would take him on in his current state.

Of the teams in the playoffs, I think the Pacers were the best equipped to give Miami issues. They're deep, versatile, and talented, defensively sound. Hibbert, Hill, and Stephenson are going to make the difference between a 4-1 exit and a 4-3 exit.

It'll be a good series.

Do you guys think IND has any chance against Miami? It's gonna be mad gritty, that's for one. It'll be Chicago all over again

Three Central Division foes in a row for Miami... Central Division basketball, eh.

Very envious of the Pacers' size.  Their big man rotation of Hibbert, West, Hansbrough and Mahinmi is actually big.  When Garnett sat, our "bigs" were Green and Bass.  Even when Garnett was on the court, he didn't have a frontcourt partner who helped him out on defense or the boards.  This year sucked.

True but all have decent or very good pgs. All those teams need a legit game manager (Conley, Parker, Hill are all legit Pgs.) and an X-factor like Kawhi or Lance is good too. Lakers sucked with their supposed bigs.

I think its going to be a chippy series as it was last year. Depending on how the pacers shoot is if this can actually be a series. The Pacers play great D, but go on spurts of awful offense. If the heat can lock them down outside then pacers will be in trouble.

Of course, the point guards on all those teams are solid. The lakers had Nash and Kobe though (well until Kobe got injured). They sucked because Gasol mailed it in long ago and Dwight is a selfish idiot who lost some athleticism since his back surgery.
