tyson(if will play) or camby/kg
martin/bass
white on anyone
melo/green and pierce
earl barron 18 rebounds (againt’s atlanta in 36 minutes)
barron/shavlik or kg
felton/terry
j.r. smith/bradley
quintin richardson 10 rebounds 5 points
richardson/pierce
shumpert/lee
prigioni/t-will
james white/pierce
novak/shavlik or wilcox

green - should guard carmelo for him to take jumpers
bradley - should guard j.r. smith really well
crawford - need to just attack the basket and do his thing
lee - should guard shumpert really well
pierce - guarding quintin, and pierce needs to give us a descent 30+ points come playoffs
kg - since kg likes hitting jump shots, i go with him on defensive rebounds and pick n' pop...we need 20+ points from him,
shavlik - must play 15 minutes a game to grab rebounds and box out, (scrapper) LOW POST SCORER
bass - needs to limit his jump shooting, and needs to clogged the middle and get some rebounds ( i would be happy bass grabbing rebounds more than 10... and less points) 1 on 1 defender...k-mart
wilcox - to give kg a good rest (LOW POST SCORER)
terry - must be hitting 2's instead of 3's where he is really good at..(pick n' roll)

used a man to man defense if all 3 point shooters are in...
if tyson was playing, i would go trapped zone defense

the most important thing is melo smith novak felton hitting 3's (it's not 100% guaranteed all 3's will go in)
kg bass shavlik wilcox (you know your role)

my key players kg and pierce..rest them in 3rd quarter..and bring them in at around 7 minutes coming of the bench fresh..depending on the score

WE CAN BEAT THE KNICKS, I CAN'T WAIT

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Keys to the game:
* Bradley must hit his jumpshots & finish at the rim. He needs to hit that corner 3 around 40% to keep them honest.
* Jason Terry must hit his three point shots and create offense from the pick and roll
*Jeff Green MUST attack the basket relentlessly in the first quarter of every game.  He and Pierce should be going at Melo at every oppurtunity to get him 2 or 3 quick fouls. Same thing with JR Smith.
* Brandon Bass must stretch the floor for KG to go to work against Chandler and play AMAZING help defense against Melo when he drives.
* Green needs at least 15-20 shots per game, as does Pierce. 5 of these should be 3 ppint looks each, particularly the corner 3 for Green.
*Pierce must abuse Shumpert or Copeland- he can score 40 on the Knicks if Melo gets in early foul trouble. We've seen him torch guys like Shumpert & Sefalosha who are undersized and cant pick his first step.
* Crawford and Terry need 10 shots each and need to put as much pressure on the Knicks second unit by running the pick and roll with Wilcox & Randolph.
*KG + Pierce need to lead us and inspire us. This is probably the last playoffs we'll get to see them together.

As fans we need to appreciate KG and Pierce one last time.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
