With my "ever-so-clever reasoning"™ methods, I have determined that the Celtics' first (playoff) game is gonna be on Saturday...

Because the (NY) Rangers are playing next Sunday at 3:00 PM, it would be irrational for MSG to still have the Celtics/Knicks play there that day/night.

So, expect the game to be on Saturday! :)

So is it going to be on Saturday or Sunday according to your entire comment?  ???

Hahahah! Much better! I was confused. :) Yeah, I also predict it's going to be on Saturday. Although the past few playoff openers for the Celtics have been on Sunday.

Yeah, I just don't see how they could play when the Rangers are also playing at MSG from 3 to around 6 since then they'd have to change the whole arena.

Sucks since I have a personal conflict on Saturday... hopefully it's one of those 12:30 games. I'll be free that whole game.

Actually, last year's 2 vs 7 game in the East Playoffs was aired on a Saturday at 3:30 PM EST. Miami hosted New York that time and day. So there might be a good chance that the Knicks can host the Celtics on that same time frame too.

I didn't think playoffs started til Sunday, but I was wrong.

I am thinking Celts/Knicks tip off Saturday night at 8pm. Boston/New York is a huge draw so they might save it for prime time.
