Was just thinking about this trade - judging by post-all star play I'd have to imagine the Clippers really wish this trade would've gone through.

I'm wondering if anybody's opinion has changed after a pretty non stellar second half by the Celtics.

Personally, I'm a fan of DeAndre Jordan's game. I don't understand why there's so many people against him. To me, he's ahead of the usual bigman curve and I think he's well on his way to being a Tyson Chandler like difference maker.

I don't really know what to make of Bledsoe. He's got a heckuva lot of talent but I don't know how much better he'll get.

Still, I think I'd prefer to see KG + Pierce finish. Both b/c I think even if it's a first round loss, the playoffs will be a lot of fun to watch. Also, even if Jordan turns out to be that Tyson Chandler like player, I'm not sure he really helps that much. That type of player is helpful on a contender, not a rebuilding team. I look at it like when the Sixers had Iguodala: He's a very, very good player - but since he's not a superstar the 12 million dollar contract wasn't helpful to the teams rebuild.

So my opinion hasn't completely changed, but I'm giving it more thought than I did in February.

We had a "non-stellar" second half because KG was injured.  To me, that just reinforced just how bad we would be without KG and imagine if we traded PP too.  We might not have even made the playoffs.

That trade for us would obviously be big time rebuild.  I think I would consider it in the off season but I am glad they didn't do it mid season.

From what I read though, even though Chris Paul seemed to want to do it, it did not appear as though the Clips were ready to pull the trigger. After seeing KG get hurt, I suspect they are glad they did not do this and probaly wouldn't do it in the off season either.

Well a Jordan could become a valuable trade chip if we didn't want him if he turned into thattype of player. Kind of lile Varejao has been.

Couple problems tho is that tthere's no real similarity in the 2 other than dunking and being 7 foot and it took Tyson chandler about 10 years or so to be relevant in the NBA

He was pretty effective with Paul w/ the Hornets and a good member of the Bobcats playoff team. Injuries limited him for a while, but he's been a very good center for a while.

Continuous health and playing on the Mavs and Knicks have put the spotlight on him.

Didn't like the trade then, still don't like it now.

Not a fan of Jordan's game and that trade would've been a step backwards for the team.

Wasn't the biggest fan of the trade when it came up and still fairly happy it didn't go through. Bledsoe has talent, but I'm not sure if he will ever blossom into a true starting caliber PG. Jordan is a defensive force, but his inability to stay on the floor in the 4th quarter due to his awful free throw shooting makes him far less valuable.

I was really interested in the deal if we were going to package those guys to 3rd teams who could make better use of their talent and bring in players who would fit better with Rondo going forward. Utah really wanted Bledsoe and I think Millsap would have been a really nice all around addition. If we could pair Jordan with something to move him for another solid young talent it becomes much more palatable.

At the end of the day I'm content to see what happens this offseason and either make moves then or go for another run with this crew at full strength rather than bringing in a redundant PG and a C who can't finish games.

I don't think Chandler was even close to the defender that he became and has become with those teams

I think its more that Chris Paul can make athletic centers look real good. Rondo could tpoo I just don't see where the DPOy or elite defender for Jordan is coming from.

I was a fan of Jordan before that contract. Del Negro is under fire for benching him so much but his offensive game has not developed enough to earn late minutes.

last few years (with perk) our closers were Rondo, ray, Pierce, baby/bass/sheed, KG
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I wanted Bledsoe at the time, but wasn't a big fan of Jordan and his contract.  I would have rather gone for an expiring contract or even Butler (if Pierce was moved elsewhere).  And I would still prefer that the trade would have been made.

Simply letting KG retire at the end of next year and having cap space is more valuable than anything the Clippers were trying to send Boston.

Space for who though? Monta Ellis?

Still don't like the trade.  Jordan is overrated, in my opinion, and Bledsoe, while a nice prospect, probably would've ended up demanding a nice contract once his rookie deal expired after next season.

Would much rather have my favorite player ever, KG.

He can't be on the floor in the fourth quarter. No thanks.

Well LeBron's a free agent in 2014...

(Yes, I know we have no shot a signing him)
