Impressive for KG. A statement of durability too.

Wow, Kidd is up there too, #3! I never considered him.

What's even more impressive and actually kidn of mind boggling is that KG plays with so much intensity, energy and passion every minute played for him is a "dog minute" and every year played a "Dog year".

Seriously, it would be like Avery Bradley playing that many minutes at the intensity he plays Defense.

So KG's actually logged 191,132 minutes and 72 years in normal human terms.

The guy is an absolutely incredible athlete and had he joined Pierce 10 years ago, they most likely would have raised 3-5 banners together.

The timing thing is also why if anyone thinks that Rondo is a 2nd or 3rd wheel of a legit championship Duo/trio,  Danny's #1 priority is to get Rondo 1-2 more true, young superstars as quickly as possible for a run.

I'm thinking Center and off guard

Howard / Melo
Sullinger / backup
Green / backup
Max Off guard / back up
Rondo / Bradley

"Somethign" like that. How? I don't know...but that's what the goal should be...

Doesn't really have much, if anything, to do with KG playing the sixth most minutes of any NBA player, ever.  :o

That's a lot of mileage for the most important player on our team.

you'd thunk Kobe was somewhere on the list.

Right? That is a little odd.  He is currently sitting at 45,345 total career minutes.  Guessing he will crack the list next year.

He started a season later than Garnett and he is about a season's worth of minutes behind Garnett.  He started two seasons later than Kidd and he is about two season's worth of minutes behind Kidd.  He started the same season as Ray Allen and is about half a season's worth of minutes ahead of Allen.

Yeah, who am I kidding.  I'd gladly take a few elbows from Kim K for just ONE night.

And....now we're way off-topic.  Oops?

yeah, I got a little off track there, but there is a segway...

I commented first on KG's minutes total and how hard he's played all those mintues...

Then it made me think of how many titles KG and pierce might have raised had KG gotten here earlier

Which made me think of how many years the talents of Pierce were wasted by not having another true superstar to go with him...

Which then made me think of how important it is going to be - if Rondo is believed to be "one" piece of our next championship team - to get him another 1-2 superstar players ASAP, ASAP or we will end up wasting a lot of his prime years just as we did with pierce...

So then I looked at the young talent we already have in place and see it that we only need to 1-2 more superstars to this current crop of young players to be in immediate contention for another ten years.

I probably just did more damage to myself in explaining how I got to my "future lineup"...but whatever, fire away...  :)
