I'm sure this will get some 'why don't we wait for the season to end' responses but whatever, I'm bored, and I think it's an interesting topic.
I'm guessing (or maybe hoping) that Ainge is shopping Jeff Green pretty hard in the offseason. I think he's shown enough flashes of good play where we could get some real value for him. But I think he's both too inconsistent, and I just think he's never really going to 'fit' into a good offense.
So, who's the likely trading partners:
Utah:
Personally, I want nothing to do with Al Jefferson (I don't think you can take that big of a hit defensively at the center position) but Paul Milsap is an interesting S&T option.
And what works really well with the Jazz is that outside of their young bigs, and maybe Gordon Hayward, they're REALLY terrible!
So I'm wondering if they'd do something where they'd take on Bass' contract if it meant adding Lee & Green.
Phoenix
I don't like building trades around the idea the idea that a team is stupid, but the Suns REALLY, REALLY seem like a team that could watch enough Jeff Green mixes into thinking he'd be great for them. And, I do think he'd put up a lot of numbers for them.
So much so that maybe we could get Marcin Gortat in the last year of his contract from them, and maybe they'd be super cool and throw in Jared Dudley for a pick?
