Thank goodness this will soon be over. I by that I mean out in the first round and blowing up a flawed team that should have been dismantled a year ago.

Scoring 96 a game will not cut it in the playoffs. Last year during the playoffs we ran into the same problem: stretches where it seemed we could not buy a bucket.

There was no reason to lose to the Nets tonight but we played disjointed and uninspired.

Can we just get on to the draft and rebuilding?

P.S. I would like to thank Jason Terry for being useless again. 1 for 7 overall, 0 for 3 from three. From the player brought in to provide offense. Thanks Jason, has anyone done less to make five million bucks ever?

IF anyone, blame Jeff Green. Look at HIS numbers.

And yes, we got to game 7 of the ECF averaging 89.5ppg.

Why do you lose hope?

Terry has been a disappointment this year no question. He may be one those type of two guards that hit the wall in their mid 30's. Ray Allen and Reggie Miller are not the norm, Terry hitting a wall at his age is the norm.

Jeff Green's inconsitency is still here and not going away.

Last season we scored 91 a game. However we only gave up 89.

In a lock out year. This year we score 96, give up 96.

The main point I wanted to make is that the teams that win titles score more. Like the 100 per game we had in 2008.

Also point differential is key. Right now ours is -0.1.

You may be correct. Although I tend to think Green would be better if Pierce was gone. Without him after the All-Star break I think we would have been toast.

Shocker -- our top two offensive options are both 35+ and our All-Star point guard who was leading the league in assists is out for the season and our offense stinks to high heaven.

I'm not mad at Jeff Green tonight, though I'd like more of his shots to fall.
4-17 is aggressive. Though I stopped watching when he was 3-10.
So 1-7 later, he had 11 points.

Other teams still have to guard Jeff.
Jeff is still a guy coming from heart surgery.
Jeff is now the #3 guy behind HOFers like PP and KG...he has to learn how to work in that starting line up. It's his 2nd game here, and his 1st, he got into early foul trouble.
I'm not giving up hope yet.

I don't think that 90 points per game is a great barometer of whether things are going well or not.  Teams that rely on defense generally play at a pretty slow pace, which limits offensive opportunities.  Good defensive teams should win a lot of games where they don't reach 90 points.

However, that general point aside, I do agree that our offense isn't championship caliber.  That's to be expected when you're without your primary offensive facilitator, and your two primary offensive weapons are aging veterans.

Not really fair to say the team should have been blown up a year ago. If we had Rondo and Sully we'd have very different expectations going into the playoffs. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Yet they were essentially a .500 team for the first half of the season in which they were healthier than most.

We miss Rondo badly.  We miss him controlling the offense, getting other players easy buckets, attacking the rim himself.

All that "we don't need him" talk clearly shown to be nonsense.
