He was a straight up BOSS. Could score whenever and wherever he wanted. It was too bad our teams sucked when he was in his prime.

Enjoy what you've got.  Amazingly, he's playing some of the best ball of his career (and some of the best ball of anyone in the game) right now.

He's not the high flying dunk machine that he was back in around '02-'03, though.

Pretty crazy that all of these were highlights in his 30's. Watching this video and thinking about that article from the MIT Sloan Conference that said Pierce is one of the most athletic players made me realize just how explosive he is. He really is a marvel to watch. His spin moves, stutter steps, stop on a dime, pull up, blow by, you name it, he makes it look easy. Add to it his intelligence, shooting ability, and body control after taking bumps, he is as unique an offensive threat as there is.

Most of these were from the playoffs too, which is also remarkable.

Tommy Heinsohn has lived and breathed Celtic basketball for over 50 years, and if he says Pierce is the greatest offensive player to ever wear the uniform, that's saying something. This video shows why he says that. Perfect balance of talent, athleticism, finesse, and power.

He's the reason I became a Celtics fan over 10 years ago, and it's been an honor to watch him all this time, and I'll surely miss him whenever he stops wearing this uniform. I couldn't have asked to see him paired with anyone better than KG, even if it happened later than we all would have liked.

He's truly one-of-a-kind and without a doubt one of the most underrated players of our generation.

Wouldn't say hes the most underrated. He gets his props and praise. Not as much as guys like kobe and lebron but he isn't as good as those guys. Still a great superstar HOF.

Thank you kind sir!

Paul Pierce and KG are my top two favorite players when I started watching NBA way back when. So glad they got to be on the same team even if it was later in their careers.

I wish I saw him play in his prime...

In 2005 he legit could have won MVP, the rest of the team was so bad voters would never have considered it.

Great highlight video... watching it, is there any more diverse out there?  Really a nice showcase of how versatile he is as an offensive player.

was watching him at Kansas and praying the C's would get him.  SO yeah, when Pierce and KG ( favorite non Celtic) got together I was in Heaven.

He is so smooth and smart.

It wasn't easy being a C's fan after the Bird era.

No offense, but no you don't.

He had the talent but not the head and the teams were usually awful.

He was reborn when kg got here and it's been the best part of his career by far

It's easy to look better when the team is better.

He was still an outstanding talent before KG got to the team.  He was playing at MVP levels.

I remember when Pierce would drive up the lane and just straight up dunk on someone almost every game.

When he does this every so now and then, I still get the goosebumps.

Great video. TP!

I'm amazed every time I see Paul put one down with authority, and until I saw this video, I didn't realize he'd done it so much during the course of his career.

Also, awesome spin moves, and I didn't realize that he's such a good lefthanded finisher.
