i want someone like scola, a descent pf, going to a defensive team from a run n gun, i think its ok

If you thought Brandon Bass was a bad defender, Scola will make your life very very miserable

but scola has more potential than brandon bass, i think scola don't fit a run n' gun system

True, you can't have too many 32 year olds with "potential" on your roster.

Ha... TP

How come there is no "Any of the Above" option?

almost that entire list has too much value to be traded for Bass and I wouldn't want the ones that could be.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Do the exact same poll, but swap out Millisap for Brandon Bass... and then ask Utah fans who they would trade Millisap for.  Let's see how many of them pick Bass from the list.  Lol

Isn't Millsap a free agent? What's Utah going to get for him in a trade?

Milsap isn't realistic so I guess Ilyasova.

That was going to be my choice as well.

Milsap was the only one I considered as well.

Danny doesn't trade just to be trading,   if it isn't a significant upgrade , then why even do it.    BASS + player + pick .

Bass has a nice game every few games or so, Milsap can produce a GOOD BASS type game nearly night in and night out.   Milsap is much more consistant. 100X better hands

Nobody else interests me much.

A rack of basketballs :P

I was going to make a joke like this, too, but after seeing most of the big men in that poll...  let's keep Bass.

BBass rebound numbers are lacking.  I want a rebounder.  Oh wait- that Shav Randolph who's riding the pine doesn't seem to mind getting his hands dirty.  Why not him? Oh, Doc wouldn't dare I know.

Of the list, I like Ersan.  I like his game and versatility.

I don't think there are many teams who will be willing us to trade much of anything for him.  We'd have to give him away for a 2nd round pick to some team with cap space to burn, or else we'd need to take on an even worse contract.  Neither option is palatable.

The only three are:

Paul Millsap - but his contract ends
Andrew Nicholson - why trade a young player?
and
JJ Hickson - also an expring contract

Bass is a Celtic.
Jeff Green - Top 5 SF

A solid fringe starter/rotation level big with a good attitude and work ethic who has proven that he can be counted on for serviceable minutes is a more valuable commodity than many of you are giving credit.  Heck, it's probably what most of you would like back for Brandon Bass.

What?  Wait a second . . . let's try to see if we can get Brandon Bass.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

One guy off that list that people haven't mentioned that is potentially obtainable that I really like, but under the radar: Anthony Randolph.

Randolph is tucked away on the Nuggets not seeing much court time, but I love his athleticism and potential. 6-11, speedy, great scorer (shot still needs work), tons of effort, defense is questionable and he is one of those skinny PF's so he lacks strength to bang.

I'd love to see a deal this offseason with the Nuggets that nets us Mozgov in a sign and trade as our back-up center and also Randolph as a guy to develop behind Sully. He has a similar style of play to KG so he could learn a lot. Don't know how realistic that is, but I do think Bass could work well on the Nuggets roster so there could be something there if we are willing to give up picks (probably our 2014 in a stacked draft).

I also like Jason Thompson another 6-11 guy, more of a low post presence. He can bang down low, but is quick enough to play quality defense outside of the paint. Not much of a shooter but solid at the rim and can rebound. Not a likely trade target since he just signed a 5 year deal with the Kings (unless they prefer Bass' 3 year deal), but I think he is the type of player who could really help us.

Ilyasova, Millsap etc. etc. are all the best options, but there is no chance to flip Bass for them.

It seems like ages since we actually had a legit 6'11" power forward... (even KG was a while ago)
