We need rebounding and someone to play interior defense, two things BB does not do well.

Paul Millsap does not belong on that list because he's much better than everyone else.  Terrence Jones has too much potential for the Rockets to trade him for Bass.  I wouldn't trade him for anyone else.  I like Nicholson and Seraphin's potential, but not enough to worsen whatever chance we have in the post season this year.

It'd be next season because you can't trade this season any more.

Why would either team give up that much upside for a role player?

I was answering the OP's hypothetical question.  I would trade Bass for Paul Millsap and Terrence Jones, and I might trade him for Seraphin or Nicholson although I feel Bass would help us more next year in contending for a championship than either of those two.

Marreese Speights anyone?

He's basically a bigger Bass who rebounds but doesn't defend.

Seems like he'll be vastly overpaid.

If you thought Brandon Bass was a bad defender, Scola will make your life very very miserable

but scola has more potential than brandon bass, i think scola don't fit a run n' gun system

Speights can rebound but he wouldn't get anywhere far here without defending. He would be a bashing thread waiting to happen.

True, you can't have too many 32 year olds with "potential" on your roster.

I went with the Jasons (Thompson and Smith, not Maxiell), Ed Davis, and JJ Hickson.
