Do we need a thread for all of his box scores? We don't even do this for Jeff!

He dominated the China leagues, what do you expect?

yes because he's new and people would like to know his potential.

What are you talking about?  There's like half a dozen threads, at least, for Green (most of which YOU started).

I see no reason not to discuss Shav's nice play of late (albeit in limited minutes).  The C's could definitely use him, if he is going to continue to play well.

I called this when we signed him.  Shav is no scrub.

Agreed. Shav is no scrub, that's a guarantee. We just got to tap his potential; he could be a big piece moving forward.

I wouldn't go so far as to say 'big piece', but he definitely will help.  I'm already of the opinion he should be playing ahead of Wilcox.

  • You say when......
..I say..."Shava-Lava-ding-dong"...!  Shav is all over those rebounds, which means, kg and the rest of the gang can do other things...he also can dunk it or lay it up, cause the other team to foul...As for his fouls....more of the NBA REF SCAM.....he hasn't earned ( payed off) the refs respect, whatever that is...and we know that is how it is....if he keeps playing like this, he will earn it...as long as he leaves the calls as they are....gotta just turn from the call, and put it inot the game.

Shav also shot 34.4% on threes in China this year, with a good number of attempts (43-125), and of course he averaged 34 points per game--so he's got offense beyond what he's showing us.

Seems as if he can play well-to-dominant against a number of smaller centers in the league, is too slight for the Pekovics of the world.  Probably can handle the slower PF's pretty well, too?

He also fouled 6 times, gotta be able to stay on the court. Plus those fouls = ftas = points for the Cavs.

Hopefully he figures it out.

I'd put half of those fouls on the officials and it was the first time he has fouled out in his NBA career.  Will he have to hold back from taking charges in order to avoid fouling out?  Possibly, given how much they seem to need him, but it's good to see him not afraid to mix it up.
