I totally agree. KG should become a GM.  I also feel like he is the best motivator this game has ever had.

Well, that would be great.  Never gonna happen though.

This is just KG 'pumping his tires', nothing more.
Agree completely. I mean it took him all year to go public with this declaration and it just so happens to come on a night when Green was once again going to be the main offensive weapon with Rondo, SuLly, KG and Pierce out?

He was pumping the tires trying to psyche Green up hoping for an offensive explosion and win.

Seriously, if you aren't one of the best players in the league by your third year or so in the league, you are never going to be one of the best ever. Its just not the way it works. Think of all the truly great greats we have seen over the years. KG, Duncan, Lebron, MJ, Bird, Hakeem, Magic, Shaq, Durant. They were all superduperstars by their 2nd or 3rd year in the league.

I think KG would have been safer from looking like a pom-pom waving fan of Green if he just said All-Star and left it at that.

idc what happens this season, I am getting more and more excited for next season. Rondo will be back, Sully will be back.

Since Rondo's injury, everyone has been stepping up. If they gel during the summer and into training camp, this team will be dangerous. People always say our window has closed, but with Jeff Green emerging into a top 5 SF, and Sullinger, Bradley and Courtney Lee's pitbull defense, I am excited for next season!

Go Green or go home!

steve nash didn't become a star until like his 5th year in the league. Green has all the tools to be,  but one of the best ever I highly doubt.

It's an endorsement, but it's also a challenge.  KG set an expectation on Jeff Green, with the implicit challenge that JG push himself to meet it.

I love this statement.

Nash is one of the very few exceptions; besides, he barely relies on his athleticism.

Besides, if this team was fully healthy, he'd be the 4th best player on the team, possibly 5th most valuable.

Go Green or go home!

Sometimes I feel the same way, but I'm starting to feel a bit like a Cubs fan: Next year we'll get 'em, next year we'll be healthy! And then it doesn't happen. Again.

Boston could start camp in October 100% healthy and by December would have two guys out for the season and another one or two on the shelf for lesser (but still significant) periods of time. I love the young guys on this team, but Bradley's had major surgery on both shoulders, Danny's said that Sully's surgery will totally correct his back problem—but I'll believe it when I see it, and Rondo's torn up his knee. I hope for the best, but I'm expecting problems.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

I can see Green being successful as JO, Billups or Joe Johnson. They didn't emerged as a star in their first 4 years.

Even the late Reggie Lewis didn't emerge as a star until the 1992 season.

Jeff Green already is a top five player in the game.

He just doesn't know that he is.  I just think he's kind of a bone head. Not even trying to be mean. He's aloof. He really could be awesome, If he was just a little more p---ed off all the time. I would really give a grand towards a miracle pill that would make him mean and nasty.
