Even when Nate was here, I liked him.  He does what he does... provides instant offense off the bench (or as a starter if needed) and infuses energy into the rest of the team.  A rare minimum salary type player who is capable of taking over and winning games.  If you have a player like JR Smith or Jordan Crawford on your bench, you don't need a Nate Rob.  If you have a bunch of role players on the bench who can't create offense, then Nate is a just fine player to have as backup point guard.  I've missed him ever since he was traded (missed him in a basketball sense)

I liked Nate but I dont think he played particularly great for us while he was here. I would much rather have Terry to be honest. Maybe on a rebuild Id rather have Nate.

Perk by far for me. He thought he deserved more money and went and got it. But I think he is still extremely under appreciated by most of Boston nation.

Easy to say that now with injuries, but Barbosa was basically Nate Robinson, a scoring punch off the bench, and a better version for this team at that. It is very difficult, or believable, to make a case for these kind of things when you look at all the injuries this team has had.

Steamer, maybe? Was he underrated though?

I'm not really sure about this, but I know it will cause debate...

Maybe Ray Allen? I think we all assumed that when he left, he'd be replaceable with JET and Lee... is that the case? Hard to tell, for me... discuss?

I thought Steamer was overrated if anything - he was one of the worst pick and roll defenders I've ever seen.

As far as some of the other names - they're all fairly talked about. I only bring up Nate because I don't think I've ever heard someone say 'we miss nate robinson.'

Completely disagree here.

I hope I'm wrong and I'll be happy to admit it a thousand times if I am, but I think Terry is cooked. He had that one big game, but I think he's showing his age - his range seems to be more within the arc now, as open 3's don't necessarily translate to points for him. Both kind of point to him not getting the same pounce out of his legs as he once did.

I have more confidence in Nate as a shooter and DEFINITELY as a defender. Plus, I think he's much more capable of playing the point than Jet is. Which again, would be very helpful this season.

Posey, was brilliant in his one year with us
Powe - when healthy was a real spark plug
TAllen - his D on good scoring wings was invaluable.

They all brought a real toughness to our team as well.

Also thought Semih Erden was underrated. He was big, tough and active. Not a bad 3rd string big man.

i agree, he wasn't given the chance to play healthy,  he single armed stood down many sizable players.

Erden seemed to fit well in the Celtics system.

Nate was up and down player, with both excellent and mediocre games. And yes, fans do remember each player having any amount of solid games, definitely including Nate in his "Shrek and Donkey" playoff sparkling.

Reggie Lewis will always be the guy I think we under rate the most.
