Is it me, or the TV cameras are getting further and further from the action?  Don't know what it is, but that basketball is getting smaller and smaller on my screen.  It has gotten so small it compares in size with the NHL puck.....and that can't be good for the NBA.  Not if they are counting on enticing the casual fan.

I mean, compare the NCAA tournament cameras to the NBA cameras and you tell me.

What's going on?  Is this on purpose?  Sometimes I can beretly tell who has the ball anymore unless the announcer tells me....

Has anyone else noticed? It is such a turn-off.

  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
One thing that I noticed is that there are times when I can't see past the top of thr 3 point line for the Celtics. So I can't see what's happening til there's a pass. Doesn't matter what tv or who's house

This bothers me too. Can't say I've noticed what the OP is referring too though.

Well if you're referring to the NCAA games, they're playing in a dome so the camera is farther away and lower, so the view is different.

True, but then - it should have the feel of further away and that's not what's happening.  NCAA games camera feels closer.  NBA cameras are way too far in my opnion.
