Andre Igoudala plans to opt out of his $16.1 million he was owed next season, and seek a long-term deal for approximately 4 years.

Is Denver gonna resign him? I'd hope so...

Jeff Green is looking like a bargain right now. Ainge has done well with both Green and Rondo's contracts.

Seriously.  Who would you rather have, JG or Iggy?  I don't think it's as clear cut a decision now, and we are paying significantly less for Jeff.

And to think Jeff is just entering his prime and locked up for THREE MORE YEARS. Danny is a genius; that's why he's a GM and we aren't ;)

Wouldn't go that far

He's an above average GM, made some great moves, made some horrible moves.

A genesis doesn’t sign Mark Blount to a 6 years 41 million dollar contract extension.

Is he going to cost $13 million a year again? He will be sought after and maybe will cost that much. I think the Nuggs would resign him either way.

And as to Jeff Green being a bargain, yep he's looking like one right now.

Which moves of his would you consider "horrible"?

I agree some of his moves haven't been great, but I can't think of too many that didn't have a purpose. He rarely overpays. Drafts I can't fault him too much for, they are usually a crapshoot after the lottery picks anyway. Didn't love Giddens or JJJ, but he's hit much more than he's missed, IMO.

I guess the Telfair trade for the Roy/Foye pick wasn't too great, but it worked out in the end. Scal's 5 year mascot deal? I've seen worse. MLE to Rasheed and JO? They backfired, but both were good players for us when healthy/motivated.

I still think to this day his biggest mistake was not using the full MLE on an impact player in the summer of 2008. We went into that season with Powe, BBD, and Scal as our backup bigs. I haven't the faintest idea who was available then, but I'm sure someone could have helped us. If KG still gets injured, it ultimately doesn't matter, but what if another legit big prevents his injury?

Iggy and it isn't close.  Iggy is a far better all around player than Jeff Green.  I don't even get why anyone would question this.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Not at Iggy's price.

I like Iggy as a defensive wing who runs in transition. He's not a reliable shooter, not a reliable one on one player due to his suspect jumper and FT shooting.

Iggy's perfect pair would be a Russell Westbrook or an Allen Iverson. Iggy would be the defensive ball hawk, and runner on the fastbreak. Westbrook and Iverson would be the one on one scorer and play maker.

Just looked at Jeff green's stats as a starter.... better than I thought. 22 ppg, 53% shooting, 53% from 3, 6 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.8 blocks !!

Yep, and he's a very good defender. I would rather have Green than Iggy going forward, even if the price was the same. Green is a better shooter who can create his own shot and get to the basket consistently. Iggy is a better defender, but Green is not far behind.
