Henry Abbot's screed about getting fouling out of the game of basketball is always good to get my blood boil. Mission accomplished truehoop.

Yeah, that was a nice watch. But it's part of the game until a rule is made against it.

His remark about Nate Robinson's layup was amazing:

Quote
In an era when the NBA is watching closely to reduce concussions and head injuries, James was obviously hit hard in the head by Gibson twice, and also endured an open-court collaring that was initially ruled a flagrant. James' head also was struck once by a driving Nate Robinson, and for good measure, again as a parting gift from a Bulls fan as James made his way, after the loss, to the locker room. Wade also was sent sprawling to the floor spectacularly and regularly.

Mike Prada on the main SB Nation blog credits transition defense as part of the reason the Bulls won.

Quote
watch how Tom Thibodeau's team cedes the offensive glass in order to have several players back to prevent the Heat from running off missed shots. Chicago only allowed Miami to get transition points off missed shots four times in the game, and three of those were plays where Chicago fouled to force free throws.

Arguably, the strategy of sacrificing rebounds to have stronger transition defense makes more sense against a team like Miami that has good transition offense.

Hahaha, that's like partisan blog levels of distortion.  Poor LeBron, getting mildly scraped on the head when he jumped at a driving offensive player at the rim in crunch time.  Will no one protect our brave warrior?
