Finally the semi ref aided streak ends. We can move on. Hopefully they used all of their energy for this streak and can be taken down in the playoffs.

Lebron said after the game that his tangle up with Kirk Hinrich “wasn’t a basketball move”.

Also, why go after Boozer when it wasn’t his arm that caught his neck earlier?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Why aren't more Chicago writers falling all over themselves to cover Jimmy Butler?!

Just imagine if Dwight Howard walks away from LAL and joins the Bulls after this season. Frontline of D12, Joakim, Boozer and Taj. That would be sick. Instant contenders.

I could be wrong about this but I don't think Chicago has the cap room to be players in the FA market -- certainly not for a franchise player.  They have a number of players making some pretty good money right now.

Yeah the Bulls are pretty stacked in terms of contracts.

Rose at almost 18 mil nest year
Boozer at 16 for 2 years
Deng expires at 14
Noahs at 12, 13, 14 mil for the next three
Gibsons extensions starts at 7.5 and climbs over the next 4 years
Hinrich expires at 4 mil
rookie contracts of Butler and Teague.

Bulls are pretty cash strapped. Unless the Lakers wanted to do some sort of sign and trade that involves Deng and Hinrichs expirings.

Rose
Hamilton
Butler
Noah
Howard

With Boozer and Gibson off the bench? Too weak on the wings for me.

They would spend big when that would make them strong contenders. Maybe they could amnesty Boozer and move some players. That would still result with a strong frontline of Dwight, Joakim, Taj and other cheap FA bigs ie Eddy Curry, Pachulia, Brand, etc.

ESPN must be scrambling to try and replace the 35 or so minutes of sportscenter that seemed to be devoted to the Heat, it will go back down to a normal 15 or so minutes a show.

Amnestyng Boozer wouldn't be enough to get them far enough under the cap to affortd Howard.  not going to happen

Chicago's strategy of locking down the options and making the guy with ball score was running flawlessly last night.  Really kept LeBron and Wade from carving up their defense and forced Chalmers to lead the team with 4 assists.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Really funny to see some people grasping at short straws to slight Miami after they won 27 straight games.  Not saying here in particular, seeing a lot of that on twitter.

Seeing LeBron cry like a baby was hilarious. Dude runs over people and he wants a foul call and even better treatment from the refs. We need our guys to be physical on lebron like that.
