This is just sad.  I want wins but I really won't mind loosing if we've been putting up fights similar to the one we put up against the Heat (without KG).  Lack of heart and effort and emotion just irks me.  It's worse than losing.  It was like they didn't care at all.  Painful

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
blood would’ve been green.  -  Bill "Greatest of All Time" Russell

It's really hard to play when Doc has a fascination with small ball, and opposing teams just put on a layup drill against us. It's happened just about every game as Doc insists in playing Bass a center, heck he's playing Green as a center at times.

Until Doc smartens up, starts using his bench more wisely, then these struggles are going to continue. Players playing out of position and just getting over-matched and indecisive since they don't know their roles in those positions.

Sometimes when you have a handful of injuries doing something is a lot harder than saying it

It is tough to win in the NBA without NBA quality big men larger then 6'8.

Especially against a top 3 seed in the conference.

You can easily change the title to "No KG, No Rondo, No Sully..." and not be surprised by the outcome.

No excuses. The Knicks didn't have a quality big and were on the road. They just played better.

no players.

We don't have many players left, you guys.

They are missing heart, it's true. But they are also missing arms, legs, and the rest of the body. There are literally only a few players left. We played 41 minutes with Jordan Crawford.

I think it's pretty crazy to come on the board and criticize the coach, the passion, the leadership, or what have you. I don't even know who you are criticizing. There were only, like, two or three Celtics that played in that game.

I find nothing crazy about that.

There is a terrible temptation to equate playing well with "leadership and heart".

#1.  It's harder to play well with no talent.

41 minutes to Crawford. (Who would be our 5th string G given a healthy roster.)

25 minutes to Terrence Williams (our 6th string guard.)

A third of the minutes are being played by 4th stringer players or worse.  Practice bodies who MIGHT get a minute or two of burn on regular night with a full roster.

#2.  Add to that the fact that the few healthy, skilled players you have are forced to play out of position because they play the same spot.  (Green plays 40 minutes and PP plays 35.)

Add these two together and you're going to lose.  It doesn't matter how much "passion, effort, motivation" you have.

People over-rate the scrubs on our team.  Crawford, Williams, Randolph, White ... these are NOT NBA starters, or even heavy rotation players.  They have some potential, maybe, but right now they are not legit players.  When you play non-NBA players vs. NBA players this is what happens.

Speaking of non-NBA players ... how did Wilcox only get 9 minutes?  Everyone is on the DL and he still can't hit double digit minutes?  Of course since he almost logged a 9 trillion, I guess that explains why he didn't see more play.

The title of this thread has summed up my feelings on WATCHING the celtics at this point... I have lost passion, put in minimal effort, and havent got much motivation to watch them.

And yet, he was the second best player on our team yesterday.

Well, Green and Bass are the biggest healthy rotation-caliber players we have, really.

TP!!! I'd give you 25 if the program would let me.

Yes, it's certainly Doc's fault that 4 of his top 8 rotation are out. And that doesn't count Barbosa.

PLEASE!
