He hopes Miami loses every game for the rest of the season and look what happens to us... that's karma for ya, folks! ;D

Paul Pierce is one of the least loquacious players in the NBA, and I honestly don't see how you can draw a line from what he said about Miami to our current problems. No karma there, just superstition ... and I wish The Truth would talk more.

"We ain't going back to LA!!"- Pierce. Not only did we go back to LA, we lost the championship there.

I wasn't trying to imply that's why we lost. I was simply stating another instance where pierce opened his mouth and said something and then something opposite or negative happend.

I'm hoping this one is sarcastic as well but I cant tell...

There was a Sports Illustrated poll 2 seasons (maybe 3 seasons ago) that asked all NBA players who was the games biggest on court trash talker. KG obviously came in at number one. But I was extremely shocked to see Paul Pierce finish at number 2.

Its what makes him one of my favorite players ever.

Talking about how he is the best player in the nba etc.

Some of it is tongue in cheek and some he's dead serious.

He usually has fun with it though regardless. Hes got a lot of confidence and that's what makes him so great.

Its a big difference between guaranteeing a championship or even a series and saying something like "I hope miami loses the rest of their games" or "I hope the lakers never win another championship"

who cares if he talks too much?  does it motivate other players or teams, maybe.....but i am sure it also takes players and teams out of their game mentally and emotionally.  furthermore, it likely also helps to motivate pierce to step up.

like i said, who cares

This is a joke, right?

He was asked about Miami's streak 100+ times and he finally just answered with a statement that every other player on every team not in Miami would answer - He doesn't care if the Heat win or lose, in fact, he hopes they lose.

Whoop-dee-do!

Until this ridiculous Forum Post, the only other person/organization that tried to make something of this statement was ESPN, which is owned by James & Wade, Inc.

I hope Miami loses every other game they play this season, including the playoffs.  I hope James gets busted for his obvious PED use, and is banned from the sport for life.  I hope the dirtiest player alive, Wade, injures himself so badly he has to retire (and I don't feel bad for saying that).  I hope Bosh gets a fish hook caught in his carp-like mouth.  I hope Judas Shuttlesworth retires and pursues his acting career, winning 5 Razzies in the process.  I hope every other bum on that team goes through the rest of their careers never playing for a winning team, so they learn a bit of humility.  I hope the Miami Heat eventually leave Miami to settle in Vancouver.  The Vancouver Heat.  That sounds about right.

There.  You can blame whatever happens to the Cs the rest of the century on me and my statement.
