Gasol is out tonight too , and randolph will be coming off the bench because he was late to practice .

Hmm ... okay (Gasol out), winnable game then. Play Pierce.

If its serious, this season is just not meant to be for the C's.

we need a coach that does not overplay his star players.

KG hasn't looked himself for about a month now. I wouldn't be surprised if it is something serious

KG is averaging 30mpg for the season and 28mpg in March, and has at least one healthy scratch for rest-related reasons. His numbers would be even lower if it weren't for the abnormally high number of OT games the Celtics have played.

How many minutes should he be playing then, if this is "overplaying"?

If its serious, this season is just not meant to be for the C's.

At this point, I'd say that nothing beyond the '07-'08 season was meant to be for these Celtics. That was a magical season during which everything—and I mean everything—fell into place for this team.

Since then, however—from KG's knee to Shaq's heel to Rondo's knee—a multitude of things has gone awry for this team, and with them our hopes for additional title banners.

I'm not trying to be a downer, just realistic: Even if KG's current malady is "nothing serious"—and if you or I can even believe such a statement from the team anymore—we'll be going into the postseason, mere weeks from now, with no Rondo, no Sully, a dinged-up Pierce, a dinged-up KG, no one shooting particularly well from the perimeter, and a team that has been maddening, just plain maddening, in its performance this season. Not to mention that this team will be playing the majority of its playoff games on the road, where it sucks. Not a recipe for success.

I want to enjoy the ride as much as I can, enjoy watching KG and Pierce especially, and I'm grateful for the last 6 seasons, but let's face it, this team has had almost no good fortune since KG's knee, and it will be fortunate to get out of the first round this postseason—and it will probably take it 7 games just to do that, because that's just how it goes with this team. We should all start preparing ourselves for The End.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

I personally view how the last six years went down as pretty much within the range of expectations. We were only able to assemble this team because these guys were on the tail end of their careers - injuries were to be expected. Coming out of it with one ring and another finals appearance is a pretty good outcome.

The only thing I hold Danny to account for, that I really think would have given us another shot or two at a championship, is his decision to surround our aging core with even more aging and injury-prone players. I think if he'd signed players with lesser talent but more durability, we'd have been in much better shape.
