  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Author (not the OP) blowing Doc's reaction out of proportion. Terry's was unnecessary.

Wow. Almost sounds like Doc and Terry are blaming Lee for the loss

Hardly Lee's fault. What did Terry do last night and who the hell is he to talk?

And as for Doc: Memo to you and your team

You can't play like crap for 46 minutes and then suddenly expect you're going to win in the last 2 minutes of the game. Doesn't work that way.

I think Doc was holding back but the "I Knew it wasn't a major injury" kinda implies that he knew he wasn't that hurt.

I don't blamed c's players for being ticked at Lee. especially if he can go tonight. only thing is that it was still going to have to be a pretty incredible comeback for us to win anyway

"Hardly Lee's fault" is debatable. Down five with two minutes isn't insurmountable and we had the momentum. He could have cost us the game, but we'll never know since OJ hit a wide open shot...

But what're you gonna do? He was hurtin'

Celtics are unraveling. This is not the time for a veteran team to unravel.

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
I'm sure Terry's reaction was the result of him losing to Dallas in Dallas.  He probably had this game pegged and was ticked that a) Boston was losing and b) he was having a subpar night.  Still, his comment was on the harsh side, in my opinion.

I didn't see anything wrong with Doc's comment.  The author of the article made it seem worse than it was.  He wasn't mad at Lee, he was most likely mad that his players decided to give a lackluster effort until the final four minutes of the [dang] game.

We aren't winning tonight anyway, so if Lee playing risks his ankle getting any worse, I wouldn't even play him.  Might as well give KG and Pierce the night off, too.

The playoffs can't come soon enough.

we're fine... none of this matters at this point.  I'm not losing sleep over it.  It would take a LOT for us to fall out of the playoffs... We're 10 games ahead of Philly.  And arguably it's better for us to face off against Miami in the first round (when presumably Boston is healthy and energized) than deep int he playoffs when everyone is hobbled.  So I really don't care at this point... and I doubt Boston cares either.  Come playoff time, we'll be ready.  And whether we lose to Miami in the 1st round or lose to Miami in the ECF, we'll be prepared to go down swinging.

TP.

I'm still awaiting an explanation on why it's a better idea to face Miami late in the playoffs as opposed to earlier.

For starters, I feel like this team's goal this year is to beat Miami, not win a championship.  Our title aspirations crumbled once Rondo went down, but as we've seen in the two games vs. the Heat, we can hang with them better than anyone in the East.

I'm beginning to hope we fall to the eighth seed so that we can play them in the first round.  That way, we're fresher than we would be if we played them in late May.
