  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
I know we've all been a little rough on Green before, but tonight, he showed that he was worth his big contract.

Kudos to you Jeff, hope you can keep this up. Celtics fans all around the world are proud of you today!
I like Marcus Smart

I was never rough on this guy, I thought he was the future. I thought I was wrong, But it's turning around quick.
I think he + Rondo + *insert star here* = our future.

Absolutely fantastic game from Green.  Looked like a legit stud tonight.  Scoring, defense, and rebounds.

I just wish he could bring this type of intensity more often.  He obviously has plenty of talent.

Yep. This has been the story all along. Finally got to see it tonight, and it was amazing. I'm glad he was given more responsibility tonight - it was almost a blessing KG was out. But, even given more responsibility, can he be consistently dominant? Can he be an all-star caliber guy? Kills me to see this... even small flashes (as minimal as one baseline move & dunk), when you don't know if he will ever put it all together. Tonight it happened. Praying to God this was his official coming out party, and the start of something new.

Jeff Green would have been a lock for the NBA Comeback Player of the Year award if it existed.

I felt so good for him when the crowd started chanting "MVP, MVP" & "Jeff Green! Jeff Green"

It almost felt like my name was Jeff Green.  ;D

Green has played really well for us the past two months.  He's always been a very talented player, but he hasn't shown a lot of consistency.  Recently, he's showing that, and last night he of course exploded.

I'm definitely more optimistic about him than I was at the start of the season.

Let's not forget about his 4 blocks last night too! Glad to see Green finally looking 100% healthy. He's earned this.

Jeff Green is as mono-syllabic a name as they come. Hard to chant that in an NBA arena. Speaks highly to how well he played last night that the fans found a way.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

Agreed. I thought he looked more tentative in the 4th last night, but i think that's probably just part of a natural progression to a confident player in a more featured role.

Now if we can just play a team that has less paint defense than we do every night, the guy will be an All-Star for sure.

Could it be Avery Bradley and Jared Sullenger? Then I think if OKC amnesties Kendrik Perkins, he would come back to Boston.
The beatings will continue until morale improves
