Eric Couch couldn't make it as a NFL QB. Neither could Matt Leinart, Troy Smith, Chris Weinke, or Danny Wuerffel. Heck Charlie Ward couldn't even make it as a football player.

All are Heisman winning QBs. Tim TeBow should just happily accept he is not an NFL QB and go on with his life as an H back or a CFL player because he will never be taking a snap from under center in the NFL ever again.

As I predicted last year, may I add.

Lots of Heisman winners make fine QB's, including the last 3 Heisman winning QB's that are eligible for the league i.e. not Manziel but Griffin III, Newton, and Bradford.  The problem that most of the guys you mentioned have is that they were running QB's that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, just like Tebow, or were clearly system QB's like Weurffel and White.  Weinke was too old after having played baseball.

If you can't make the throws in the NFL, the CFL isn't going to work. Want the perfect picture of a CFL QB? Doug Flutie. Or look at the pistol offenses being used by SF and Seattle.

My bringing up the Heisman was in no way to show that Heisman QBs don't make it. It was to show that not every great college football QB has what it takes to make it as an NFL QB. Different game, different speed, different offenses(as you mentioned, and the need for a very specific skill set.

And that is where Tebow has a problem. He was ultimately successful at every other level of football because of certain skills he possessed. But the skill set needed to  be an NFL QB, he does not have.

I'm just glad Tim Tebow isn't on the worst team in the NFL anymore.   I also am glad that he proved that you can put a running back at QB and turn around a team from 1-4 and go win a game against the Steelers in the playoffs.

Funny. I seem to remember him making a lot of throws in the fourth quarter to win games and a lot of throws to beat the Steelers in the playoffs.  When he wasn't running over guys.

I also think Mark Sanchez and Kyle Orton should just give up being NFL QBs. They just do not have the skill sets required to be NFL QBs.  For one thing if you are an NFL QB you need to show leadership. You also need to be able to win some games in the 4th quarter.  These guys just have to move on.

No argument here. Both are either terrible, awful, horrible NFL QBs or just good football players that happen to think they can throw a football well enough to be in the NFL, sort of like Tebow.

EJ with the wider field in the CFL, you have to be able to throw. You can't win passing 10 times a game. Wilson, Kaepernick and RG3 are prime examples of a CFL style QB.

Personally, I agree with Felger on this.  I find it astounding that a QB that wins more than he loses doesnt have a starting job when you see some of the absolute caca that is starting in this league at the QB position
