apparently the celtics saying they care about the celtics more than the heat is newsworthy enough for espn to make it a top headline

www.espn.com   2nd top headline of the day on the right

Apparently there is no other sports news to report today.

By far my favorite line was, "I really don't even care.  I hope they lose every game for the rest of the season," by Paul Pierce.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Interesting quote from doc, to me anyways. "Our defense has been slipping. The numbers may not say it but my eyes tell me that". Better not let some of the people on here hear that doc. They might call you an idiot and tell you that actually watching the games tells you nothing.  ;)

I think Jet and Paul are right in the way they addressed the Heat.

Chris Forsberg does well in mentioning THIS, though:

Quote
If they earn two more wins before Monday's game, the Heat -- who have eliminated the Celtics in each of the past two postseasons, including in seven games in last year's Eastern Conference finals -- will be tied for the second-longest win streak in NBA history (22 games by the 2007-08 Houston Rockets) when they visit Boston. Ironically, it was this Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce core on the court when the Celtics snapped the Rockets' streak on March 18, 2008 -- five years to the day of the Miami-Boston matchup.

I remember that 07-08 game vividly...BOS steadily picked up steam on that road trip out west, and that game was part of their Texas Three step (DAL, Spurs, HOUS) that they swept for the first time in ages.

Keep winning, MIA - all the way up until Monday.

If we beat the Bobcats tomorrow night, we have a streak of our own.

13 wins in a row at home.

ESPN is broadcasting the Celtics/Heat game on Monday, they're just using whatever they can find to promote themselves, as usual.

I saw Paul's comment running at the bottom when they were talking about their win streak.
I also like his comment on the whole Kobe/Dahntay situation.

I think Jet and Paul are right in the way they addressed the Heat.

That is a huge coincidence that it's happening on the same date 5 years later with the same number of wins in a streak.
I hope they break their streak.
