He clearly has never been asked about his surgery before and its long-term ramifications. But on the brights side...good newz!

Are you basing this on actual quotes? BC, I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that Danny was going to bring him back.

I'm basing this on the fact that he got traded, is injured, and that we have 6 guards under contract for next season, one of which is a younger, healthier (if less efficient) version of Barbosa.

Also, that whole bringing back talk was before the trade deadline :)

No, I think you're missing a release that came after he was traded. Danny still intends (as of my last known quote) to bring him back, even though he was traded.

EDIT: Nope, I'm wrong. No direct quote from DA there, just implications from journos.

Well, I did.

One note after talking to Danny Ainge: C’s want to bring back Leandro Barbosa next season. He’ll undergo surgery after MCL sprain heals.

Yeah, the quotes were out there, but that was Feb 13, well before the trade deadline. Crawford makes Barbosa obsolete.

I have no idea either way, though IP's scenario sounds similar to the Marquis Daniels situation in 2011.  Injured, out for season, traded away, then signed with the C's again in the off season.  Though with Daniels we were very thin at his position, unlike with Barbosa...

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

how the heck did a thread about Sullinger's back become a thread about re-signing Barbosa?

I would be suprised if he doesn't. Danny will go for him, for sure. He already mentioned it a few times.

Not to repeat myself, but he mentioned it exactly once, and it was before he acquired Jordan Crawford.
