Wasn't what I got from the article.

Seems the plan in Utah is to develop the young players they have, especially Favors and Kanter, and be very selective in choosing which point guard to acquire via cap space/trade.

Very nice article by Lowe. Surprised to find something this in-depth at Grantland (having to do with basketball, anyways).

Really? I find Lowe's work there to be some of the most consistently in-depth analysis out there.

Take the piece on Howard for example. If that isn't in-depth, I don't know what is.

I think the stuff from Grantland I've stumbled onto (I never go directly there) has been Klosterman or others (Kang?) doing pop-culture driven pieces. I'll check out more of Lowe's stuff, seems worth the effort.

The relatively recent article he penned on Morey/The direction of the Rockets was real solid, too.

Yeah, I've been very impressed with Lowe's work there, he's broken down a few teams this way (think the Rockets were the most recent) and always has interesting things to say about the league in general.

It's also a breath of fresh air that he takes the radical angle of focusing on, y'know, basketball, as opposed to soap opera nonsense.

Yeah, it just about makes up for the dreck Simmons is now producing.

If you didn't know, Lowe used to be at SI's Point Forward blog.  Before that, he was a charter member of the CelticsHub blog.

Wow you guys are just haterin all over grantland. I do love Lowe's stuff, but I also love a lot of their other stuff too. Except for Remberte Brown, he's just so very, very smug. Well, he's very talented too. But so very smug.

Bargnani has been obscenely horrible on both ends since his return from injury, to the point that Dwane Casey is sneaking him into home games after timeouts so that fans don't have a chance to boo the Italian big man at the scorer's table.

I LOL'ed.
